Glad to see that they worked well for you.

I luv luv luv Joico's K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor. It is the best reconstructor that I have ever used by far and I won't give it up no matter the price tag. The ish works-it's strengthens and moisturizes my situation. One day I want to try their Moisture Recovery conditioner.

Yup.
Are you going to go get some?

You know that Ulta has it buy two get one free....I am going to stock up on some condish and styling products.

I am going to go get some later on this week. I get paid friday so what ever is left after I pay the light bill will go to joico

Do you use a moisturizing conditioner after the reconstructor?

*checking to see if there are any more cookies and tea"

Asks, How was the silk result conditioner?

Well...*sips on berry tea*

This is what I own from Joico:

K-pak line (everything but the hairspray)
Moisture Recovery line (I have the liters of the shampoo/conditioner--tried it all, using the treatment lotion b/c the balm was too heavy)
Silk Result shampoo/conditioner
Daily Care Treatment Shampoo

If you go to the Joico's website, you'll see that's a lot of stuff. The K-pak line alone. And I'm waiting on the K-pak 17 minute kit to come in the mail.

So, K-pak line is my final answer :lick:...Take that, Aveda! :look:

*gladly takes a cookie and takes sip of tea after its poured** as she presents host with a small appreciation gift mug full of peppermint sticks*

Okay, just keep me posted. I am going to go get some next weekend...if I have the money....Joico or Christmas gifts....who was naughty and who was nice:look:

Hee-hee! You ladies tickle me!
I just started using the Joico k-pak line about three months ago,and i am completely hooked!
The human hair keratin is what attracted and kept me.I can't wait to try the other stuff i saw in Trade Secret a couple weeks ago.
I saw the split end mender, and some other stuff in a medium-brown coloured container.I think it said something like UV rays protector or sun damage protecor or something like that.Anyone heard of it?

I'm a Joico newbie. I fell in love with the K-PAK Intensive Hydrator. I just got the reconstructor and I'm gonna try it tonight. I forgot to pickup the Daily detangling leave-in. I'll get it next trip. :yep:

Yes! I use it. It is a staple. I put in after each wash. You just need a little bit.

Its a really good product. You should try it. You can get it 50% off the gift set right now at Trade Secret. I think one lady on LCHF said she got it for $7.50 or something like that and I think Ulta still has it buy two get to free.

If you dont like it you can just sell it on the Vendor board. For that price, somebody will definitely take it off your hands.

Thank you, I am going to try it...
I love Joico

OK. After seeing all these thread appear on Joico, I decided to give it another try. When I first relaxed in 2006, I picked up some of the moisture recovery.... It gave me a banging wash-n-go, but I didn't repurchase because I was in search of good quality, cheaper products.

So I have returned to the Joico family.... I picked up one of those K-pak gift sets on sale yesterday. And like a kid with a new toy, just had to test it out as soon as I got home. :look:

What can I say? I'm in love. My hair already feels much stronger, soft, and moisturized. I've lost a lot less hair to breakage. Now that I've heard good reviews of the other lines, I may give those a shot as well. Thanks ladies. :)

Would you ladies say K-pak is a mild, medium or hard protein? I checked out the K-pak conditioner and reconstructor and they felt silky on my finger...but I swear the bottle says its for damaged hair :ohwell: Is it safe to use this line everytime you wash? Is it like a moisturizing protein line?

I just bought the Kpack conditioner and shampoo. I would say the conditioner is more of a mild protein conditioner. I put it on for like 5 minutes, rinsed and followed with a little Paul Mitchell Rinse. The reconstructor is more of a stronger protein treatment. The conditioner is designed to be used more frequently. It is probably too much for me at everywash but I could see using it for 5 minutes or so one wash a week.

I've used Nexxus protein (keraphix and botanoil) but I'm not sure I like the way my hair feels after. How does Kpak compare? It sounds like it moisturizes and adds protein at the same time. Perhaps I'll use this as my protein treatment and use Humectress/Therappe for moisture.

Have you tried Joico's silk or mositure recovery line? If so, how are they? Would you comepare the Joico mositure line to Humectress/Therappe? Who's better?

The Kpak conditoner made my hair feel stronger and it still has some softenss to it. The kpack reconstructor doesn't leave my hair as soft but it gives me lots of strength.

I use the moisture recovery line now. I use the shampoo and the moisture recovery balm. The shampoo has been really great for me in helping my newgrowth stay moist. The moisture recovery balm is extremely thick and you only need a little bit. I use with heat for 15-30 minutes. I have used Nexxus and I do like this more. I never liked Humectress and Therappe was okay to me.

In terms of technology and ingredients (i.e. Ceramides, silk amino acids), which prodcut is better/stronger? Disadvantages/Advantages of both?

I honestly don't know. I think that both would be a nice thing to have in a regime. Silk amino acids provide so many immediate and cumlative benefits as do ceramides. I know that ceramides are particulary benefical to the no-lye ladies. I think maybe you should try each line one at a time to see how they respond to your hair first. I plan on sticking with joico and a couple of other things as my basics and start adding in the biolage ceramide treatments for additional support as needed.

Currently using Moisture Recovery Conditioner

Bought/Ordered:
KPak Smoothing Balm (probably won't use until warmer months)
