My fight is with frizz! Im trying to find something for my wash and gos to help fight that and keep my curls defined without being really hard. Am I searching for the holy grail??? My hair is thick so I need something that is heavy right?
Any recommendations?? Thanks!!!!

^^^ I agree.

Also have you tried the heavier creams like Miss Jessies, Curlz (i think that's the name), etc.?

I have found that Cantu shea butter leave-in works GREAT for this on my hair. It defrizzes my hair and makes my curls pop. And I don't have to use a lot of it so I find that it doesn't weigh my hair down.

Agreed...this with oil washing has been great for me

I don't think I'm really considered a true 3...but I still stick by a good denman brush and some fantasia IC with sparklelites done in sections. My curls def. go pop with that combo!:yep:

Miss jessies curly pudding is working wonders for my curls!! but it may be working well in conjunction with my deep conditioner, and leave in (lacio lacio) and coconut oil thats keeping moisture in those defined curly locs. :)

Thanks ladies! I used the bolded last night and it did nothing but keep a curl or two! I thought I used enough but it was my first time. I was looking at the Miss Jessies boy that stuff is expensive!!! What I realize if I stay in the house and dry then its a lot more tame. But if I go out then it just losses control!
I also stopped the oil rinsing when I started puting coconut oil on my hair everyday but Im gonna try it when I know I am going to wear my hair out.

What I have been doing is making sure that when I dry my hair, I just blot it dry lightly with a towel. Then, I use Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion on my hair throughout (I use a tablespoon, but looks like you have alot of hair, so you may need more) and smooth it on and then kind of squeeze my hair in sections with it. Then I use a little oil to seal and I'm good until the next day.

Try it and see...its cheap and it works for me.

HTH

I use Garnier Fructis' Curl and Shine Leave in. I have never used anything that has defined my curls as well as it does. :yep:

Okay, so I'm clearly not a type 3, but for minimizing the frizzies in my own hair, I've found that it's largely about technique.

After I CW, it's best if I slip on a microfiber towel in a bun style headwrap and let dry. Bascially, the less I manipulate the hair after a CW, the less frizzies. I can add my products to wet hair (you can try re:coil, a gel, or some other curl creme) and then wrap in the towel, but I do get slightly more frizzies that way.

alterna hemp seed texturizing glaze

LOVE IT.... soft defined curls and never EVER hard or crunchy! you can put it on right out of the shower
it smells nice, not overpowering

it doesn't dry your hair out. it doesn't flake. before I relaxed I used it every day

definetly beyond the zone noodle head + fantasia IC styling get with sparkle lites !!! This stuff is amazing!

I'm still looking for the holy grail also but I like Noodlehead from Sally. I'll have to try Miss Jessie's products one day.
