I think people are assuming that this is her hair but I been seeing this chick every since she was a little girl because I am a huge LK fan and alot of people are seeing her, really seeing her now for the first time, and I'm telling you guys, THIS IS NOT HER HAIR.

SHE IS WEARING A WEAVE

And what does this still say about some of us huh? I mean believing this could possibly be her hair because she mixed? Funny how some of us are still hanging on to those kinds of deep thoughts. All mixed people don't automatically have "good" or long hair. Look at her fathers'.

say it again....its plain as day its a weave....but like a said she is so purty!!!

Let the church say AMEN. It seems like a lot of ppl would assume its her hair bc she has a light skin tone...I wonder if some ppl would feel the same if she were dark skinned. You can see her hair on top of the weave sticking out in that close up pic where its supposed to be blended in. And its slightly lighter than the weave. It doesnt really matter, she is still a very pretty girl and the hair looks nice on her and really highlights her beauty, which is was long hair does for most of us.

Hell no! Because I remember a couple of years ago when there was a thread started about Kenya Moore's hair and despite her hair being real, people were swearing up and down to Sunday that her hair was a weave or she wears pieces.

Lisa, at the MOST had her real hair at SL. And now she got waistlength hair because she has dreads.

Lenny has a nice texture, but it takes him at least a good 3 years to get to SL, and he's a man.

And I'm not bringing color into this :nono: I don't care what her skin type is, Zoe wears extensions

I don't know if it makes a difference, but one of Lisa Bonet's parents are jewish as well. I saw it on this documentary about the both of them and it said that this is one of the things that they had in common that helped bring them together.
I think the daughter has nice bone structure.. She looks just like her dad.
I hope her hair is real. I will give her the benefit of the doubt.

Come on yall. It looks like the clip on ish Paris and them wear. She got a nice relaxer and a weave. Her mom dreads were a weave too, I dont know about now, but back in the day those were extensions. Its cute (the daughter) any way, everyone is wearing them. I like them, and she is a very cute child looks just like her daddy with her mama lips.

Yes, my dear...his mother is the woman who played Helen on the Jeffersons and his father was caucasian.

No, I know that I meant the part about the straightness gene thing because of Lenny's dad. Lisa and Lenny are both mixed I know. I thought you were implying about Lennys father that the male had more dominance as far as hair texture.
but then I just saw the response where you forgot Lisa is mixed too so its more clear to me what you meant.

i'm sorry i have to jump in & say their is still a lot of ignorance out there even tho we've been so educated on this site...

It's true not all biracial individuals don't have loose wavy hair & whatnot i am clearly proof of that but lenny's hair is beautiful so why would you say look @ her father's hair?

Also let's be honest w/ ourselves anyone can see this girl is very beautiful if you think otherwise you're probably just hating

It doesn't really matter if it's a weave or not because it looks good & it looks good on her & what's wrong with seeing her as an inspiration? she's in the spotlite so she's not the first one to sport a weave

Honestly it really p*sses me off when people throw these biracial hair misconceptions around... biracial people come in so many shapes, sizes, colors, hair types/lengths, just like black people... i don't have loose wavy hair or blue/green eyes... I have BEAUTIFUL nappy hair & so does lenny

I don't think she's beautiful. There was a professional pic of her where she looked nice with the makeup on, but on the whole, eh. But I guess I'm just lying to myself.:perplexed

Wow, lauren....I'm a little surprised with your post.

I feel that every person is beautiful in their own right. God made us all beautiful.

She has her own look and she is beautiful...just like you have your own look and you are beautiful too.

JMHO:look:

Interpretation of “BEAUTY” is different. What one-person views as “gorgeous” the next may view as just “okay” there is nothing wrong with that. I don’t think it is “hating” when people of different opinions regarding aesthetics.

IMO, she is wearing a weave however this does not take away from her beauty or lack there of as some may see it. It’s just an observation. Personally, I do not view weaves as inspiration, I can admire how “real” they look or how nice it was installed…but they do not inspire me.

Huh? What I'm saying is that I don't think she's beautiful, or gorgeous like people were posting. I came in expecting something else, I guess, and when I saw her, I just thought she was cute.

Then someone said, "if you don't think she's beautiful, you're a hater", so I responded to that. I never said the child was ugly. I just don't find her beautiful or gorgeous like many others on this thread do.

I'm honestly confused as to why that's a big deal.:perplexed We discuss our perceptions of others looks all the time on this board. Why is my answer a problem?

When I first saw the title to this thread last night, and I saw that it was about Lisa Bonet's daughter and how pretty she was, I was so floored as to how beautiful she is and how much she looked like her mom. Then all the posts started pouring in about her hair is a weave....and it really took away from the original post.

I'm saddened by it because we as black women: whether we are mixed or not, need to stop doing this. We have enough people already tearing us down for us to keep tearing each other down.

I'm just saying.....:ohwell:

Thank you! I wouldn't even have made a comment on her "beauty" if not for the multiple posts about it. I just posted that I disagreed because I just wasn't seeing it, that's all. I fail to see why it's a big deal.

I was thinking the same thing, if it was on a darker skinned girl some of us would be more inclined to believe it's a weave, which is unfortunate. Just because you have a little white in you doesn't mean you'll have "good" hair. Hell, I've seen some white folks with nappier hair than mine!

I never said your answer is a problem, just that I was a little surprised at what you said, that's all. I didn't expect that from you...but I guess I'm being a little presumptious here, so I'll back out.

Please, continue on.

Totally OT: Ummm...I just checked out your fotki....why are you not modeling young lady? You take excellent pics...a natural in front of the camera and you are a very beautiful woman. I love your hair!:yep:

Blessings.

Expect what from me? You can pm me if you don't want to answer here. This is starting to feel a little personal.:perplexed

Well shes light skinned so I guess it must be her hair....

She has Caucasian in her so scientifically speaking her hair is much straighter and longer and prettier and magic! Right?! Right???!!! I mean its just SCIENCE! *tsk! I cant believe y'all didn't know that!

And I thought we were past all this here... I guess this post proves that wrong. LOL. That girl is wearing a weave. If you cant see that then you are either blind or in denial. Its a weave a weave a weave.

And honestly so what if she wears weaves? Why are people so quick to defend her "honor" against wearing a weave!? Whats wrong with her wearing a weave??? Like OMG light skinned girls CANT/SHOULDN'T wear weaves!!!! *Gasp* They are far too pretty/perfect/magical to do something that low class and dark!! *scoff* Well I NEVER! She CANT be wearing a weave.... It just wouldn't be PROPER!!!

Get real.

This is really disturbing. I feel bad for people who think like this. It makes me wonder what other lies they're begging to believe...
