Hey ladies,
So, I went to a salon and got my hair texlaxed (75%) and I liked the results. Now, I told the stylist (who shall remain nameless) that I'd put a Just For Me texture softener in my hair at Christmas 2006 but that my hair laughed at it and I didn't see much of a difference. She said "Girl, that was almost a year ago, so it won't affect you." Why did I let her put a lye relaxer on my hair?
I feel so stupid. My hair looked great for the first week, but once I washed it, I began to see loads and loads of split ends, shedding, and breaking. My strands are split like branches up the strands. The strands are also rough because of areas on the strand that are waiting to split, they look like bubbles. Also, my hair has gone from #1 to a dirty goldish color.
So, I went back to show her my hair and wouldn't you know that she wasn't there anymore. She got fired. So, now I am trying to figure out
whether I can save any of my hair or whether I just need to cut it off again.
Moral: Don't overlap chemicals, even if you thought they didn't take.
