You hit the hammer right on the nail. I've noticed it with my co-workers. Everything was copacetic until one asked me if I dated white boys. When I said " Its no shock for me to date men who are white. Its no big woo"... attitude changed.:rolleyes: Suddenly everything I said offended him.

Ole punk just stared at me and did't say anything. I waited for him to start something for a good hour and a half and he didn't the whole meeting. So at some point someone was wearing a funny hat, and I was like man you shouldnt have worn that ugly hat (we were joking around) and that punk walks in. So I was like you know what I think of that hat? It's OUTLANDISH! I said it loud and looked around. I saw him flinch when I said it, tried to make eye-contact, but someone passed in front of me. I would have killed to see the look on his face. I am so sad Im taking these braids out, I wish I could wear them as long as he's here just to piss that jerk off.

In fact, I wish there was a braiding tutorial that could help me so I can learn to do cornrows on my own. That way, everytime he fixes his lips to cast his judgement on me I'll be back in my room rebraiding it up as a direct result.

They fear us because they want what we have. I never really knew that until I moved to Scandinavia. There is a tanning salon on every corner (and they tan DARK!). The braid shops are filled with white women. They think that brown eyes are the most beautiful.

They tell me all the time- point blank, that they wish they had skin like mine, hair like mine, lips like mine. It made me realize that white folks in the US think this way too, that's why they idolize Angelina Jolie, and get lip and but implants:lachen:- they have just been programmed from birth not to say it.

No offense- but that dude probably fantasizes about you and your cornrows! Don't get mad- just tell him to stop sweatin' you, and that you already have a boyfriend- THAT will shut him up quick. (and make him think);-)

Oh dont worry, Im taking these out on thursday to put in some new ones on friday for my moms wedding which is Sunday. He is gonna think its all over for a few days the... BAM! a new set of braids on monday for his a$$!:drunk:

Im getting three rows this time, and curly hair on the ends so I can have something to play with (I NEED to have my hands in some hair, I have HIH sydrome and these braided ends aren't working for me! :perplexed

That's great :D But I have a question wouldn't three rows be unallowed based on the regs? Maybe I read it wrong but I thought it said they coudln't be wider than 1/4". Just trying to make sure you stay out of trouble.
 
:blush:...Ooh I would have TAMED that boy! He must be outside his mind, talking about a black woman and her hair like that! It seems to me like he has a serious crush on you. I've noticed that whenever guys have crushes on girls they feel are not interested in them they try to annoy them in a sorry attempt to get their attention. Quite pathetic, if you ask me :nono:.

oh i meant three layers
like one in the front, one under that, and one under that cause my hair is pretty thick and then I would have more to play with too
