Hi Ladies:

Do any naturals henna, particularly those with 4a or 4b hair? My hair is 3c/4a/4b (probably mostly 4a/b, but we'll see as I continue to grow it out). I wonder if I will be able to continue to henna as I go natural. I don't want henna bits getting stuck in my hair/scalp:lol:

I am natural and i have been hennaing for a year now. I haven't had any problems with henna sticking to my hair or scalp. However, washing the coffee grinds and tea out has proven to be challenging and takes a few washes to get completely out. I am satisfied with my hair, in terms of the color, the thickness and the condition. I believe that i am a 3c/4a.

I henna and will be doing another application soon! I don't get clumps stuck in my hair because mine is creamy like. I do find that it loosens my curls and shows more curl definition and I love that! I don't see the color benefits so next time I applying a smidge of lemon juice to it. I tried the paprika and it ain't working. I have jet black hair so its taking more henna applications to see the color affects but the strengthening affects are instant! You should have no problems applying henna to your natural head!!!

ETA: I am a 3c/4a

Thanks for the tip!

I henna and I'm 4B. My hair was so much easier to detangle after I rinse it out. I don't get a lot of color but I have a few hints of red here and there.

I don't henna, but I would love to, so if someone could tell me what type/brand they use and where they purchased it that would be greatly appreciated!

I henna my hair every month. It helps with detangling and loosens the curl. When I mix my henna together, I add alma and olive oil it helps with the rinsing out process. I have noticed that some henna is easier to rinse out than others. Be prepared to spend several several minutes washing it out. Henna feels like sand when you are washing it out.

Thanks for the tip. I have some amla oil at home, but I will try some olive oil too!:)
