Silicon Mix

1.)Silicone Mix is a deep conditioner that is mostly used to control new growth. It makes it much more manageable and sometimes makes the hair so smooth that it doesn't even look like you need a realxer.

2.)I'm still on the fence with it. My only problem is that it has mineral oil in it. Other than that it hasn't been bad and I must say that I haven't been yearning for a relaxer sine my last one in June.

3.)For now, I'm keeping it.

Hope that helps!

I use it and I love it! It helps "tame" NG for at least a minute and I LOVE the way it makes my hair smell even days later! I use it as deep conditioner a few times before it's time for my relaxer touch ups.

Its a good mixture of moisture and protein. It gives really nice and smooth rollersets but I really only use it when I am 7 weeks or more post relaxer because its the only thing that controls my new growth.

This is a staple deep conditioner for me. I use it especially when I'm using heat because my hair comes out extremely shiny with no flyways, but is still light. I never really noticed it's effect on new growth, but I'm almost 15 or 16 weeks post and my new growth is manageable.

What do you use it for? I only use the DC treatment for Deep Conditioning for a bonus I add honey and EVOO to it
Does it work for you? Heck yes that I why I am to stretch for a long time
It is a good product to have or a Throw Awayer- IMO everyone should have this in their stash

It's a keeper for me. I'm just trying to decide do I need the leave in AND conditioner. For now, I like both.

That smell DOES stick around...even if you use heat on your hair. I'm not using heat often (except with bi-weekly rollersets/hood dryer) so when I air dry, the smell lasts for 3-4 days

ive used it twice...gotta use more b4 i gave give my vote...one i know though....i HAAAAAAAAATE the smell!:ohwell:

i wasn't impressed with it.:nono:
maybe one day if i see it again i'll try it later down the line but to go out my way like i did to find it:nono::nono:

I use it for DC and CW.

It works great for me and I really love the smell. Smells like a soft baby powder.

It's definitely a keeper for me. I will always have this in my rotation.:yep:

Really? it smelled like strong bad cologne to me....i hope i got the right thing...lol

I was up in Queens this weekend and bought it at the BSS and tried it! THIS STUFF IS GOOD! Left my hair very soft the entire day! Normally my hair starts to dry out by the end of the day but NOPE not w/ this stuff.

I do not care about the mineral oil because I found all of the avoidance is hype. My hair doesn't care.

I mainly use Silicon Mix as a deep conditioner gives great moisture and slip to my hair.
I add Alfaparf Essential Shine Oil when I want extra shiney hair plus it gives it a kick and makes my hair more silky and smoother.
I buy the 60oz size because it's a staple product for me.

I love it! Makes my curls so smooth and moisturized and smells like roses to me!

OT: Hi Pat! Whenever I see your avatar, I just drool over your hair.
If I ever see you out and about in our neighborhood, I will know it's you!
I will ask" Are you Niko's Cousin?"

Girl, get outta my head! This is exactly what I do! The alfa-parl EO's make it even silkier, IMO.

Move Over Butta...Now there's something better:grin: This ROCKS on all three female heads at my house( 2 relaxed + 1 texlaxed). We're looving it!:yep: Got get the "jumungous" tub of this!
