.... I put too much peppermint oil in my head last night (its morning here) and now its stinking up this whole office. :wallbash: I cant wait to get off and wash this mess out. I dont know what I was thinking.. I normally mix a lil about 5 drops in my BT but last night I decided to pour a lil in a small spray bottle and spray my scalp separtely.. WTH was I thinking?? I sprayed like 3 spots on my head and it was breath taking! I had to walk up outta my room. It was like 10pm and I was not about to walk all the way to the shower again. :perplexed So now I am sitting up here with my darn head tingling and smelling! :nono:.....I just had to vent!
*FYI to those are wondering why I have to walk far to the shower: (I'm in Afghanistan)*

Have ya'll had any experiences like this that you knew you shouldnt have did but you did it anyway.....

Blow dry and flat iron my hair without a heat protectant. The only time I use heat is after a relaxer, but it is still wrong. :perplexed

I often use too much of something on my hair if I'm trying to get rid of it...ie. too much oil in a prepoo if I'm trying to use up the oil...too much conditioner if I'm itching to try a new one...none of which is good for my hair...my hair definitely prescribes to the less is more theory

Putting that stankin NEEM oil in stuff like my lotion and hair oil mixes. :nono:
Booty Booty Booty Booty smellin everywhere!

i'm busted: "SOMETIMES I BRUSH MY HAIR WHILE IT'S WET" :nono:

:look:me too...hopefully I'lll get some cool points for using a soft boar bristle brush though...:lachen:

I kept tacking in those stupid sew in weaves (...on the advice of two of my long haired friends who use them as protective styles...) even though I KNOW my hair can't take it...duh!:nono:

I use hairspray. The alcohol-based stuff. :yep: I only use it on my bangs. Nothing else keeps them from puffin' up during the day. :ohwell:

I put MN on my scalp last week. :sekret:

My head was hurting all weekend! :nono:

I knew that I should not have done that - trying to be greedy.

Sometimes i get lazy and use a raggedy comb that i know might snag a peice of my hair ( They always seem to be closest to me)

If im looking to put my hair up, and the first thing i find is a black rubberband, theres a 85% chance im going to use it.

*I brush my hair when it's wet.

*When I'm spending "quality time" with the one I love I let my hair get all messed up and I go to sleep w/o my silk scarf.

*A couple of years ago I got highlights that I didn't like so I got color correction done the next day. The color faded fast so I colored it at home about a month later. I didn't quite like it so I colored it again about two weeks after that. I didn't like that either so I colored it two more times that same week . I somehow managed to have a full head of hair after all that, lol. It felt like straw though so I had to go hard with the conditioners etc. and slowly trim away the mess I'd made.

Brushing while my hair is wet..but hold up..I only do it when I'm stretching so I can see those pretty little waves when it dries...Still a No-No..I know.:nono::nono:

From now on, I plan to do relaxer touch-ups at 8 weeks, instead of my usual 13 weeks. I think this would be considered a "NO."

Right now, I am 6 weeks post, and my hair is a big poofball. I have been wearing spiral curls (a lot), so my new growth has been a non-issue, even at week 13. But, now I've decided I want to wear sleaker styles, more often, and since I don't use direct heat, that means shortening my stretches. :ohwell:

I use big black bobby pins to create a french twist on days when I'm too lazy to "do" my hair....even though I KNOW they break my hair.

I am also guilty of letting my hair get tangled when I'm spending "quality time" with my SO. Sometimes I fall right asleep afterward without detangling or tying on a scarf. I DO use a satin pillowcase, so maybe that one isn't so bad?:ohwell:

Hi Ladies! :newbie: newbie up in here.
I too am guilty of brushing while hair is wet, use heat after my relaxer, and putting protein gel on edges while stretching:naughty:. used heat outta straight laziness. shame!

I was just about to say this! I used the open and closed bobby pins to do cute updo's and it broke off my hair at the crown something fierce.:wallbash: This has been the reason for my little progress this year.
