but then like a week later it fills right back up again like how it was before???I was just curious because when people post pics of their hair after a relaxer it look so full and thick:ohwell::ohwell:

I noticed this too. There are some ladies with really FULL heads of hair even after a relaxer. :yep:

Although I'm natural now, when I had my relaxer my hair looked thin after my touch ups...wasn't much I could do with it. I think my hair was actually overprocessed or relaxed too straight.:ohwell:

Here it comes........get PHYTO!!! Try applying a clear semi gloss after neutralizing, it should help your hair to appear thicker.

For full body hair the very same day of a relaxer simply apply a lite protein treatment like Aphogee 2 minute treatment after you wash the relaxer out and before you apply the neutrilizer!

The relazer robs your hair of protein (which make it look thin) and the treatment replaces the protein!

My hair used to do that as well when I fully relaxed. Once I started leaving the relaxer in for half of the required time frame, i was able to regain some thickness. I learned that my hair didn't require alot to get my curl pattern looser (straight). From that point, i maintained simply Texlaxing my hair.

Oh...Okay...I am definitely going to have to try this because I naturally have a thick head of hair, but as soon as I relax it it appears fine:nono:

My hair looks kinda thin after a relaxer but I it's because I relax bone straight, no texture AT ALL. After a few weeks, my hair looks a lot thicker. I don't ever feel like it's breaking or shedding because I know it's bone straight relaxin'. Don't worry ladies, I'm sure we're not thinning. :nono:

My hair does this, too - drives me NUTS! Usually after a wash or two, it's back to normal. Now that I know about protein treatments, I'd like to see if that makes a difference. I hate for my hair to go all limp on me.

I tried the hard Aphogee about 3 days later and it did nothing. About a week later my hair came back to normal. I am going to try that conditioning before neutralzing thing

I also has fine hair texture anythin heavy make it LIMP no curls a tall, so i love to BONE STRAIT my hair so i can enjoy it. cuse when it time for my newgrowth to comes through its all over. THICK AS HELL!!!:nono:

I relax sone straight but my hair is thick afterwards. I self relax and condition it with moiturizing conditioners and protein conditioner before and after I neutralize it, plus I use porosity control by Roux on it. It seem to help a lot.

I think an added bonus is that I don't use a lot of styling products on my hair ( except heat protectant) while drying and styling. HTH
