Hi, I'm very sorry for what you are going through but, I agree with everyone else that cutting your hair would be a good idea. Or at least just a VERY good trim.
If you are not comftorable with having short hair then you could always wear wigs or phony ponies and buns. You would just have to make sure that you are taking care of your real hair underneath it. I would suggest putting your real hair into cornrolls underneath the wig cap.
I haven't tried out a lot of products to really suggest something to you but, it is important just to stick with the products that you feel are beneficiary to your hair and not change products every second. (so don't be too quick to hope on bandwagons, lol =])
