I haven't seen the video, but when I did hair we used this method when the hair was long and didn't want too much around the rod/roller. Half way down we put another roller, but rolled in the opposite direction...so in effect one section of hair had two. Is that what your talking about?
Yeah, I guess I should have clarified and said more than one roller/rod. Most people took two, but there were a few that took three and even fewer that took four!
Thanks for the replies ladies. Pixel Lady, in this case, the roller formed a pyramid close to the scalp with three rollers. I am however curious to know the technique you were referring to. When you say you use multiple rollers, are you starting to roll from the bottom up or from the top down. If so, does this give you the spiral look that I see a lot of ladies wearing. Not shirley temple type spirals, but more spaced out thinner spirals. I would like to know this technique as well. I hope I'm being clear.erplexed
Start near the scalp...like the lady in the video. The longer the hair the more rollers/rods you use. This can create deep waves, depending on the size of the roller used. If you wind the hair around each piggy back then you get spirally waves...KWIM??
Okay thanks. I read somewhere that if you twist the section of hair prior to rolling on a flexi-rod type roller starting from the bottom and going towards the scalp, this will create more defined spirals. Have you tried this technique as well?
BTW, what does KWIM mean?

persistence is the key
