What Is The Best Moisturizing Leave In Conditioner?

I need a good moisturizing leave in conditioner for my dry hypo-porosity hair. Every time I wash my hair, it takes me two days to get moisture back to my hair. I have try, Paul Mitchell the conditioner, Tigin Green Tea Super Moist Leave in conditioner, Slick and ShineFructiss, Rusk sensory leave in, Silk ElementS leave, Elasta QPH2o leave in, Neutrogena silk touch leave in, and many more leave in conditioners without any success. They all leave and my hair dry and crunchy.

My favorite is Brocato Saturation Leave In Conditioner- http://www.sleekhair.com/14209-8-5-..._AtH5uugGZAiXPPEHiT2huhWUhcELnbwH8aAqkj8P8HAQ

I bought the Liter (32 oz.) size.

Now that I've run out and they're out of stock of the big size, I just leave regular rinse out conditioner in my hair as a leave in. I typically use the Suave Naturals Conditioner for that purpose, but I also like Pantene, Dove and Herbal Essences Conditioners for that purpose.

Sealing is also important to retaining moisture in hair, I use coconut oil to seal but you may find a heavier hair oil or butter may work better for your hair.

My hair hates coconut oil as a sealant, but it likes Argan oil

APB Cherry Kukui Hair Lotion
CurlLuxe Sweet Almond Leave In Conditioner

I have only used it once and that was three days ago. I just posted it a hit in the hit or miss thread. I was in awe because it looked almost like a butter.

:yep: I was in awe, too, and still am. LOL. Every now and then the thought of how that ghee makes my hair feel after detangling, and how it detangled my knots so fabulously, just pops back into my head. LOL. It worked so amazingly that it made me try a new regimen: Usually I detangle with Soultanicals Hair Glide pre-wash, twisting my hair up as I go, and THEN wash my hair in twists. Once I experienced detangling with that ghee and then how soft and moisturized it left my hair, I was trying to figure out how to detangle with it and leave it in! That meant that I needed to wash before detangling. Well, that seems to have given me some problems. I'm going to figure it out, though. I am truly amazed at the CTDG, and I want BOTH benefits of it: Detangling and leave-in.

Curls Blueberry Bliss
Cantu Coconut Curl Cream
Oyin Hair Dew

Also...bc I used to have this issue...make sure you are applying enough leave in to your hair, especially if you are also applying a styler. You may also want to try an oil or pomade over the leave in.

When I learned this about my hair it really made a difference in moisture levels for my hair.

I have to second @belleama. The Shea Moisture JBCO is amazing, I tried it on a whim and I'm very satisfied. I twisted my hair with it and had plans for a twistout. However I had to do a quick puff, and needed my hair to dry quickly - so I blow dried my hair. Usually blow drying will drain all the moisture out of my hair...not this time. My hair still soft & defined, and feels stronger after using it. I'm sold, definitely try it if you can.

I'm lopo too. Here are my faves:
- Oyin Hair dew
- Silk Dreams wheat germ butter conditioner
- camille rose aloe whipped butter gel
- Koils By Nature Moisturizing Shealoe leave-in
- As I Am leave-in conditioner

I just started using silk dreams destination Hydration. It moisturizes, but my hair is white for a bit

Jane Carter Revitalizing leave in followed by Camille Rose Curl Milk topped off with an oil has been working wonders for me lately.

Hydrotherma Naturals moisturizing conditioner is the best I've used. My stylist always talks about what good shape my hair is in every time I visit.

I'm a straight natural and I also use Design Essentials conditioner from time to time as well. I didn't use it when I wore my hair in it's natural state though.

I've only used the Qhemet CTDG a few times, but I agree with you: Very softening and moisturizing.

Good lawd, I went on Amazon to order some moisturizing DCs since my hair broke off and searched for the Qhemet....*gulp*
I want to try it but sheeeeesh.....why $38 bucks!
I'm seriously stressed out right now because I want it but I really can't afford this right now....

I also need a watery leave-in like a VO5 consistency.

Don't stress out!

I only purchased a tiny sample from Ebay. It was sealed when it arrived. They also sell samples at the Qhemet website.

Right now my staple leave-in is Curl Junkie Curl Assurance Smoothing Lotion because it is sooooooooo slippery. However, I use the Kinky Curly Knot Today leave-in when I use the Kinky Curly Coiling Custard as my gel.

The Curl Junkie lotion is lasting me a looooooong time.

I have never purchased the full-sized Qhemet CTDG.

Lmao we have a winner! Damn I took a sharp intake of breath reading that! :lachen:

@YvetteWithJoy

OK. I see the sample size on Amazon so I'll get that to hold me over.
I've purchased the Amla some years back when I had more free cash and I don't remember much of my impression other than it was too thick, like a pomade maybe?
Is the Curl Junkie lotion silicone free too? Trying to avoid cones to see how that might help.

I'm trying to infuse moisture back into my hair with Aubrey White Camelia, a creamy leave-in and my normal shea butter and twisting back up like I used to back in the day.
