I was wondering if any of you ladies that live in the city know where they sell the largest selection of dominican hair products like the lacio lacio and the 12 en 1. I mean i will see maybe 1 or 2 in the local bss but not the entire line that i see online and i dont really want to order off line. so I know kinikakes you live in brooklyn, I was wondering if you used the dominican products, where do you get them from or who has the greatest variety, thanks

Im sooo late! My apologies girl! You've probably already found the information you were looking for, but just in case you didnt..... i dont use the lacio lacio or the 12 en 1, however, the BSS where i find my Dominican products has a nice, wide range of goodies, and you may just find those products yet (I just never looked for those specific ones). ANyway, i go to a BSS that's on Fulton Street in downtown Brooklyn. Its in the FUlton Mall area, and i dont know the exact address but its located near the Duane Reed/Bank of America. There is Hello Kitty stuff in the window, along with hair supplies, but dont get confused. LOL. Its a great store, they've got tons of good stuff!

HTH!!!

I get roots only, cause I like my hair to have bounce and curls. I like big hair, straight doesn't look well on me.

Me too :yep:. Straight flat ironed hair does not look attractive on me. I only get the roots blown since the roots are strongest and I'm only trying to get the NG straight. The rollerset does an excellent job of smoothing out the rest.

The full blowouts thinned out my hair. Now I only go twice a month and just get the roots blown out.

On the flip yes you can get a flip without a curling iron. You have to tell them before they roll it up that you want a flip because it changes how they roll it. Then they put you under the dryer, unroll you, blow out the roots, and vio-la. Shiny bouncy hair. No curling iron, no flat iron. I love it even more that way than with the blowout.

They set your hair on large size roller and sit you under a hooded dryer, after the hair is dry they blow out the roots to remove the roller dents, or straighten the new growth if you have any. I have them wrap the hair with pins afterward so the set will fall nicely after it's unwrapped.

So they are using all of that HEAT on dried hair? :perplexed I'm surprised this is damaging!

All of this is good to know. I've never been to a Dom salon.....but I plan on going to one I found in Sun Valley one day. Now I know what to tell them.

Roots only. :)

I usually just get a rollerset and then ask them to wrap my hair afterwards. but if i am several weeks post and want 2 look cute i might just let them blow dry the roots.
