i know. i was thinking there would be a lot of shedding if i done it etc, it just seems like maybe i would get better growth if i just left it alone..Sure, but it will be a matted mess... Would you still finger detangle..![]()
are u serious..lolWhat your motivation for doing this. I not sure but you could end up with some free formed dreads from not combing it.View attachment 339471
By not washing you could end up with bugs like the homeless guy in the thread a couple weeks ago.
I would think this would leave your hair worst off. But if you don't want to comb or wash your hair maybe you would be better off with shorter hair. Longer hair means longer time spent and more effort on your part.i know. i was thinking there would be a lot of shedding if i done it etc, it just seems like maybe i would get better growth if i just left it alone..
Well your op made me think you don't want to do any maintenance to your hair so...... Just trying to understand what kind of look your going for.are u serious..lol
ok but would i need to still comb and detangle it after washing in cornrows? You would retain length from the lack of manipulation, but it would most likely break off just as quickly from the lack of moisture. Then when you do eventually attempt to detangle, you would lose a lot of whatever growth you retained.
A much better alternative would be putting your hair in a long term protective style like box braids, cornrows, twists (with or without extensions) or even a sew in. You can leave your hair alone for 2-3 months doing the absolute minimum (wash it and oil your scalp as frequently, or infrequently, as you like) and still retain pretty much all of your growth
