Hey Lovelies!

Now let's get our Weekend Started....

What will YOU be Doing This Weekend to Care For & Condition That Beautiful Hair of YOURS????

I'm taking down a set of mini braids today. Then I'll do cassia treatment (maybe get under the steamer for a bit), shampoo, and deep condition under the steamer. Not sure how I'll style my hair after that. I'll probably let it dry in braids and throw it in a bun later.

rileypak is there a reason why you're layering all those leave ins and oils?

Froreal3 High porosity issues.
Well let me say the leave in part is mostly laziness of not wanting to moisturize during the week and some from hair analysis. No harm from it that I've noticed so I continue. The double seal with oil & silicone serum came from my hair analysis.

Henna weekend for me. The last treatment of 2014. Time flies so fast.

Friday:
Pre-poo: Keravada oil on scalp and Coconut oil on length and sit under conditioning cap for 20 mins.
Cowash: Claudies Jojoba Cleansing conditioner
Henna: Apply Henna to hair and sleep in it overnight

Saturday:
Wash Henna out: Use V05 conditioner to remove Henna. About 3 rinses to fully remove all Henna
DC: Marie Dean Hemp and Aloe Conditioner PROLESS, Porosity Control, Olive Oil, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary Oil over coffee under steam.
Leave-ins: Annabelle's/Oil/Giovanni Direct
Style: Twist out with Marie Bean Butter

Shampoo with Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter shampoo, deep condition with Shea moisture masque, moisturize and seal. Do twistouts

It's time for another Henna treatment. :drunk:

Started my pre-poo last night with my diy horsetail infused olive oil on my scalp and sunflower oil on my length.
Shampooed this morning with Redken Cleansing Cream
Applied Henna mix (coconut milk and coffee) and left it in for four hrs
Rinsed and cowashed with the last of my Tresemme naturals
Did a coffee rinse
DC with ors replenishing conditioner layered on top of shea and mango butter with heat for 45mins and am letting it cool for another half hour.
After I rinse I'll T-shirt dry for 15 mins, tension blowdry on cool and then put in medium twists for the next week or so.

I was considering washing my hair since I just relaxed it Monday. I'm going to neutralize it one more time, and do a moisturizing DC. I think I finally found a regimen for my relaxed hair. It was feeling a bit dry, but I've been moisturizing it with filtered water, then avj/filtered water, Eden Bodywork's Coconut Shea Souffle, and sealing it with Softee's Argan Oil. So far my hair is soft and my ends are pretty smooth.

Washing tonight!

Will cowash with herbal essences cowash
Dc and detangle with Pantene 2 minute masque
Twist with cantu creamy lotion and Shea butter on the ends
Dry for a twist out

Tonight

Wear my hair out from the twists I put in (dry stretched hair from a bun) since Wednesday morning.
Tomorrow morning twists and perm rods for twist and curls the rest of the weekend.
Will wash my hair sometimes next week.

Will be travelling home on Sunday (long day too, about 12 hrs), and I have a 24 hr call at the hospital on monday *bawls*. So my hair plans won't start until Tues, but in prep for that on Sunday night I will prepare my henna mix.

I will pick up ALL my hair goodies from the courier  and then:

Prepoo with APB Hibiscus & Fenugreek on my scalp + Vatika Oil on length of hair under steamer for 10 mins then under a shower cap for 1 hr.

Shampoo with Shea Moisture Manuka Honey Shampoo

Henna for 1hr under steamer, let cool for 1 hr. (not sure if I will do a full henna tx or just a henna gloss)

Moisture DC under steamer for 20 mins, let cool for an hr - either SD RCA or APB Broccoli and Avocado Smoothing Condish, topped with APB Hibiscus Fenugreek.

Air dry partially, apply APB LI spritz + Oyin Hair Dew as my leave in.

Moisturise with APB Hair Pudding.

Back into plaits.

Oil my scalp with APB Hurry Up and Grow + Green Powerhouse.

I have no major plans this weekend. I only did a refresher by using the LOC Method tonight: water, Belle Butter Whipped butter, DB Pumpkin Seed as a leave in and Hairveda's grape Seed pomade on my ends. I placed my hair back in medium size twists. I'm planning to do spa treatment next week which is needed.

Prepoo: APB Ayurvedic mask
Clarifying cleanse: ORS aloe shampoo
Moisturizing cleanse: Elucence moisture shampoo
Co-cleanse: KV 4n1 conditioning treatment
Protein Rx: Claudie's renew protein conditioner topped with ceramide oil blend
Moisture Rx: Obia babassu deep conditioner topped with EVOO
ACV rinse: Claudie's normalizing rinse (might use a tea base instead of water)
M&S: S-curl to ends only, ST kink drink, OH hair dew, Claudie's Montego Bay oil, OH BSP

@LaChaBla, How did it go? I need a review cuz I'm really considering having them shape me up after I bc. Got any pics? :look:
Honey Bee, I would definitely recommend it!

Just for background, I started transitioning about 3 years ago and have been wearing crochet braids for the past 2 years since cutting off my relaxed ends. So I've never styled my natural hair or had it cut by anyone.

I told the salon all this when I made my appointment, so they said that the stylist would give me a lesson. He asked me a bunch of questions before he even picked up the scissors, and then talked me through everything he was doing. He invited me to ask a million questions, which I did :look::lol:. He even had a hand mirror at the bowl so I could see what he was doing and gave me a card to take home with all the CG steps so I'd have them with me when I do my hair myself.

Here's the before -- my first attempt at a wng earlier this week using the LOC method, which was frizzy and dry as heck -- and the after.

LaChaBla, :clapping:

That was a good, thorough review and your hair is so pretty! I'm glad it went so well for you. It's expensive but apparently worth every penny. :yep:

I stopped by a random natural hair salon today. Rude, unhelpful, wouldn't even tell me what products they used! Just no. :nono: I see I have no choice but to do the Deva thing.
