Hit: Ion Crystal Clarifying Treatment.

Wish I knew about this gem sooner. Normally the hair at the top of my head doesn't curl, it waves lol. I was able to forgo flat twisting the top of the tapered cut to give definition because I could do a full wash and go with all of my hair actually curling.

Curl Junkie Repair Me
Aussie 3 min miracle - This is everything people said it would be for detangling!
BASK java bean and honey balm for sealing :lick:
Revisiting EVCO for sealing
Purabody murumuru milk - Loveee this during the weeks I use heat on my hair

Miss:
SSI pomegranate conditioner - Slip is decent but lacking the moisture for me. I'll use it up as a prewash detangler

HITS
* Revisited:Kinky Curly Knot Today--I will never be without this again. It detangles my hair with ease. I had the shortest, easiest detangling session in a long time.
*Happy Nappy Honey's Knot in my Fro Joe--I use this as a moisturizer. I love the creamy consistency, light coffee scent, and that a little bit goes a long way. If you use too much it can be greasy.
*Keravada's Coffee oil and Keravada's Fenugreek oil--I alternate using them for HOT's. They are just the right weight for my hair, the scents , and I can see an increase in shine which is one of my current goals

Amla & bentonite mixed with warm water and acv, very nice, clean scalp, fluffy hair

Moptop Curly Custard, elongated hair, medium hold, citrus-y smell

Miss

Consistency of the Moptop Custard, like boogers.. ewww.. thick ones!!!

Haven't done this in a long time...

Hit:

- Irish moss still working. Combined it with a lot of different teas and steam with it for about 20 minutes... Cowash it out and detangled, shiny hair

- Pantene Relaxed conditioner - I won't be using it anymore but it's very moisturizing. If I'm looking for something at some point in the future where I don't have my homemade or natural conditioners, this is a good one

- Tea spray - adds nutrients and sooths my scalp

- Steaming - balances the moisture in my scalp. I only do it for 15 - 20 minutes 3 times a week and I don't have to worry about my scalp at all

- Biolage Hydrating Shampoo - I was going to start making my own shampoo but I can buy a liter of this and it lasts for a year.

- Having enough hair products to last me for 2 - 3 years - I don't have to buy anything for about that long.... I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not, but I have enough relaxer, conditioners and treatments to last for that long. I might have to reup on my shampoo next year though. I have enough for my daughter too. Since I started doing home relaxing it's really liberating and now I'm only going to Great Clips to get my hair cut... I pretty much refuse to do that myself lol. Besides, they do an excellent job and they're fast and very professional.

- Finally finding my routine. It's very easy: wash, steam condition, blow dry. For protein treatments I wash, spray on whatever protein I have at the time, steam condition on top rinse out and blow dry. I've been keeping my hair/shower/get ready combo an hour or less.

I want to buy one more thing though... this Baobab Protein that ingredientstodiefor.com is now selling... they say it acts like a silicone but it's a protein that's good for your hair... maybe next year

Silk Dreams Vanilla Silk Cream Moisture Dream (SD VS for short)/aka my baby daddy
: Super soft, silky, moisturized hair. Need I say more?

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie:
Hair feels soft and moisturized. Still liking this stuff.

Soultanicals Knot Butter: Love the nutty scent and does a great job at sealing. Very soft and creamy consistency.

Major Miss

Finger detangling--seemed like a hit before but it wasn't. I taught I had less hair shedding with this but i was wrong. I had so much shed hair stuck in my head and that lead to major tangling!

Water Only method--I must have momentarily lost my mind. This was the second time attempting this method. It seemed so enticing, washing hair with only water and then using one's own sebum to naturally moisturize the hair:look::look: As a Pj trying to recover it seemed like a good idea. 1 week into it my hair just looked ashy, dull and started to lock up on itself.:nono: by the second week after I cleared up the issues of the first week, my hair was a bit softer I'll admit but I still needed a grease/moisturizer on my ends b/c I felt my hair was breaking/feeling coarse and still looked ASHY as all get out. I threw in the towel after 2 weeks:nono: Went back to my beloved hair conditioners:superbanana: and my hair and I have been happy ever since. I might revisit this in the future but for now it's a no go.

For once the glycerin in this product isn't drying out my hair! I love it as the L in my LOC!

and now its a miss

My hair is so flaky. Probably my heavy hand or that fact that it didnt full dry, dunno. will be washing again tonight.

Hit: Cantu for natural hair shine and hold mist only underneath eco styler argan oil gel. Smooth hair and nice hold.

Miss: The mist smells like sweet tart puke :ohwell:

Continued HITS
- Darcys Pumpkin Conditioner and Leave in (unscented). Love these both! Def staples
-HH Sweet Butter pomade *discontinued* and ill likely never get it again after this jar is gone due to her foolishness

HIT
-Applying my leave in in the shower. Idk why I even did that the first time...

MISS
-Hairveda Red Tea conditioner. My hair was so unimpressed. Zero moisture. And the smell is weird. Gave it to a male 4a/4b friend with gorgeous curls

**HIT** - Oyin 'boing'
I am just now using it from when i was gettg curlkit last fall lol

I used it on freshly washd hair, no other product, to do flat twists for a twist out. I got really nice spirals, defined to the ends. Also has a nice soft hold.

I twisted it and let it airdry for a couple of days

Aussie 3 minute miracle
Darcy pumpkin seed
Jakeala amla shea parfait
Organic Coconut oil

Miss:
Shea moisture smoothie - first time using it, smell was pretty strong and didn't moisturize my hair felt like it just sat on it.

Feeling like a hit:
Komaza Hair Analysis

Always a hit:
APB hair creme

A miss at first, later turned hit with a little baggying to soften my hair after using protein:
AO GPB

Miss: Herbal essences sleeker the butter fragrance. I had a bad allergic reaction ro it (just like shescentit avocado). I don't understand..maybe it's because I'm using so much and detangling for a longer period of time? I used to not be allergic to fragrances at all when I first started the hair journey.

Misses - Vendor Edition

As an avid consumer, I absolutely hate receiving products that:
- Have crooked labels
- Contain huge air pockets
- Are not completely filled
- Are haphazardly shipped, with no peanuts or other protective measures included
- Have cheap labels that fade, smudge and stain
- Lack consistency and vary from batch to batch
- Leak during transit because that means that I’m going to have to submit a fingerprint and DNA sample to the vendor before they will believe the incident occurred
- Suck (after waiting 92 days to receive them)
- Fail to include any freebies/samples for those who place large orders

Hit paracute coconut oil....finally a coconut oil that works for me without leaving my hair hard

Miss....the smell

BB Oil it up! 10 in 1--really good oil, African Royale is still the best though. This formulation (BB) has more castor oil so it's thicker and great for sealing.

Revisited hit

Talia Waajid protective mist bodifyer--found a 1/4 full container, diluted with water and used some to mist my hair. This stuff is so good! A little goes a long way. It's excellent as a braid spray, moisturizer and detangler.

Hit : Charles Worthington Moisture Seal conditioner - its moisturizing and detangling.
Biolage Balm - amazing ,leaves my hair super soft and replenished
