My homemade semi-ayurvedic treatment mix of methi, henna, molasses and moisturizing conditioner--made my hair really soft, easy to detangle. Oh it also decreased shed hair dramatically.

Miss

My mix^^^--hard to wash out methi pieces, rinse...rinse...rinse! I even shampooed and I still have a few pieces left behind. Good thing even after shampooing my hair is still very soft. I'll just get methi powder to make it easier.

Newest Hit
Applying shampoo to scalp before wetting my hair - I was able to part my new growth and really access my scalp, minimize tangling my new growth, and give my scalp a really good scrubbing

Possible Hits
Aquaphor Baby Shampoo- super gentle sulfate shampoo; my scalp and hair weren't angry after I washed; looks like it might be a winner but will give it a few more washes before fully declaring it a hit
SSI Coco Cream Leave In - I originally thought this leave in was no good for me due to the glycerin in it but I also thought it might have needed to be paired with a different spray leave in; paired it with my APB spray recently and it's like a whole other leave in! Not a dry, crispy hair on my head and softness all around; fingers crossed it's not a fluke

Continued Hits
APB Spray Leave Ins
APB Ayurvedic Oil & Ayurvedic Hair Creme
Ceramide oils (particularly Jason Vitamin E Oil)
Kurlee Belle Thirsty Kurls Leave In
Silicone serums for sealing
HV Vatika Frosting (so glad coconut oil agrees with my hair again)

Continued hit Lee Stafford Growth Treatment This treatment has dramatically reduced my shedding/breakage after only two uses. I am very impressed and love this treatment.

Yesss to this! I used both the growth treatment and the breaking hair treatment together today and my shedding was minimal, which says a lot since I shed like nobody's business.

flyygirlll2 I Agree. And I am "On The Fence" with it too, for that exact same reason.:perplexed I am also currently using it.

When I first received it I thought it would be like the APB Ayurvedic cream since it has specs in it too but when you rub it in it disappears. I used it as a prepoo and those coffee specs drove me insane! It was all over my hair which actually caused it to tangle since it was stuck on the strands.

flyygirlll2 IDareT'sHair I gave mine away for the same reason too. I was only using it on my edges so I was able to remove the coffee grains from my hair but it was a hassle that I didn't like being bothered with. It made the pomade feel gimmicky to me. A Coffee Pomade with actual coffee grounds in it is not necessary.[/QUOTE

Yeah I don't know why the vendor decided to do that, the coffee grounds just get in the way when applying product,

Have you tried the breaking treatment by itself?

No I haven't but I plan to just to see if there is a difference. The difference in ingredients so far I noticed is that the breaking treatment has keratin, amino acids, and ceramides. So far after the first use of that combo, I like it.

Miss

Tresemme Curl Hydration conditioner. Let my hair feeling more dry after use. I'm def sticking to the Tresemme Naturals from now on.

The sound of my Red by Kiss Hooded Dryer - this dryer sounds like 2 Boeing 777 engines are right there in your house; it's extremely loud on cool, moderately loud on low, kinda loud on medium, and loud on high; annoying but whatever I'm only under it for 30 minutes every other week and my dog doesn't seem to mind

I do surprisingly, on my hair it always seems as if vatika penetrates more and smooths my strands where as plain coconut oil can cause my hair to feel straw like and dry.. Pennefeather

Protectiv Regular no lye was a huge hit. Gave me the exact results I wanted and it doesn't smell too bad.

Misses:

*stickness of KCCC. Its a day later and it still feels weird
* LuvNaturals Leave in Conditioner and setting lotion, not moisturizing at all

Hits
* Cream and Coco CocoMallow cowash fluff, has was moisturized and clean
* LuvNaturals Conditional Love Triple Use Conditioner to condition, soft moisturized hair

Miss: African Pride Curl Styling Custard

I'm so glad I decided to try this on a small section of hair before using it all over. It leaves behind visible residue and is extremely flaky. I'm mad I bought it from the BSS and can't return it.

I'm always looking for this for a better wash and go, but nothing seems to be better than Eco Styler.

Continued Hits:
APB iced coffee cleansing conditioner
APB Liquid LI
APB Hair pudding
ST plat'num roots hair oil

Potential hit:
Shea moisture jbco leave in conditioner.

I used it on slightly damped hair (via a spray bottle) to flat twists last night. I'm really liking the definition on my unraveled twists today.

And the slip on this stuff is very close to the SM Purification Masque.

I'll use as a leave in this weekend.

Miss: Smooth Naturals Ultimate Hair Treat
Why? It's scented with Orange Dreamsickle and yall know my scalp is itching something serious. Gotta wash it out.

Hit: Today's wash day. Went by great. Detangling with a paddle brush is the best thing ever. I did not have one single strand knot today. Love it!

I loved that leave in but thought the smell was nauseating. Couldn't repurchase because of it.

It had actually started to grow on me a little bit though. But my scalp ain't having it.

Which is weird because a while back I used the Fabulous Style Frosting with no problems and it was scented the same. This development of itchy scalp because of orange and orange scented items is something new.

Miss,Oyin hair dew appears to be okay but the smell I can't take lucky I bought a sample size.
Possible hit, oyin boing appears to have a lot of slip. Also the pomade is good but must get a different scent.

Hit
Shea moisture JBCO shampoo.... It's a close contender to my boo thang, Tangles and Beyond shampoo

Miss
Shea moisture JBCO leave in ..... It felt good going on but there was little moisture when it dried. I may pair it with something else to see if it works that way but I'm not impressed.
