Miss: Coconut oil by itself
This has been the worse wash day. Prepooing with coconut oil dries my hair. It has been tangle city, knot city, SSK city. I literally cried as I cut tangle after tangle after tangle. I hope this doesn't set me back too much.

If it's formulated in something it's okay. But alone? No bueno.

I also need to make sure it is not too far up the ingredients list. I may just avoid it altogether.

On the fence: Deva Curl low poo
While the smell is wonderful, it's just okay.

HIT!! Great sealer! Cincare silk hair polisher - orange sherbet and blueberry muffin scents OMG they smell so so good and have organic ingredients

Chi Silk Infusuon Chi infra thermal treatment hit!!!! Best flat iron ever! My hair feels like silk thread.

Prepooing with Palm oil - difficult to wash out
Anita Grant - chocolate clay cubes - I accidentally made the conditioner too thin but it was really messy applying it and after rinsing it out I could still feel grit in my hair. I don't think it was worth it. After I finish all my DIY Indian/natural conditioners I will give them up. They are all too messy and difficult to rinse out.

No you didn't bust out with the Enso! :lachen: I shole did love that hair gel, though.

@tiffers

Girl, I broke out the Enso!

That stuff was thebomb.com :lick:

I'm finishing up my little stash of discontinued lines.

i.e. Enso Naturals, Jasmine Bath & Beauty, It's Perfectly Natural.

(Lawd....I hope I don't have to add my Afroveda to this list):nono:

NaturallyATLPCH! Oh no! Hope you didn't have to cut too much. Did you use a little water with the oil?

FroReal, I didn't use any water. I did use a slippery conditioner which eased it a little but the damage was already done. I will be using the rest of that coconut oil to cook and bake with .

Olive oil works better for my hair.

AgeinATL, thanks honey. I feel better now. I have now vowed not to try anything else new and stick with what I know works. No more new things for me. I cannot afford another set back, especially as a slow grower.

Chile, I am going back to cleansing my hair with either Giovanni Teat Tree Triple Treat conditioner or the Shea Moisture Purification Mask. Why. Because they work. They clean my hair, scalp, and make it super soft.

My hair seems to hate coconut oil. It makes my crown a desert. After buying product after product last BF, I had to give them all away. Talk about money down the drain! I hope that all is well with your hair now.

Using coconut oil by itself on my hair makes it feel hard, I only like it when it's mixed with other things.

Still On The Fence

Pomade Shop Coffee Pomade- I like the pomade with the exception of the small specs that are in it ( I think it's coffee grains idk) I used it last week and the specs were stuck in my hair after washing which I hated.

Naturell Grow Marshmallow Root, Slippery Elm Bark and Cinnamon DC- I've only used it once and so far it's ok, I'll have to use it a few more times to see if I really like it.

Revised hit: Aphoghee 2 Min Reconstructor

New hit: Bobeam Stimulate Condish
Had my scalp nice and tingle-ly. Rinsed with no residue. Hair was nice and soft afterwards.

My hair hates coconut oil , aloe and shea if in the top three- five ingredients. I can prepoo with coconut oil as long as something creamy is added on top.

The only coconut oils that dont tangle alone for prepooin is Dabur Vatika oil and Hairveda Vatika frosting NaturallyATLPCH

I Agree. And I am "On The Fence" with it too, for that exact same reason.:perplexed

I am also currently using it.

flyygirlll2 IDareT'sHair

I gave mine away for the same reason too. I was only using it on my edges so I was able to remove the coffee grains from my hair but it was a hassle that I didn't like being bothered with. It made the pomade feel gimmicky to me. A Coffee Pomade with actual coffee grounds in it is not necessary.

BranwenRosewood

I bought it before (and thought it was a Royal Pain).

The jar I'm using now I got on a Swap because it didn't have MSM.:look:

And Guess What: It's still a Royal Pain!

I'll stick to the Peppermint or the Rosemary from this company w/o the MSM.

Miss: FHI Platform. I was expecting amazing results from this based on all the reviews that I've read. Sadly, my $40.00 Gold and Hot ceramic flatiron works a lot better!

Continued hit

Lee Stafford Growth Treatment
This treatment has dramatically reduced my shedding/breakage after only two uses. I am very impressed and love this treatment.
