Hair porn at its finest (Reniece's new video)

That was straight up beautiful and really touched my heart. It's amazing to see the before and after photos. She is truly trained and well versed in hair care. I appreciated seeing all different hair types and also relaxed and natural heads. I see why her clientele list is soo long. Most hairdressers are not well versed in the science of haircare and if more were we'd have a lot more healthy heads out there. In reality it's only a small majority of us that are privy to the online world of hair care.

That video was amazing :yep:

I came here to post this too after I saw it on MsKibibi's blog!

I've said it before and will say it again, her technique is flawless! She has a way to hem the hair that is her signature, it's like aaallll the strands are exactly the same, and like somebody else said, her clients' hair have weight and substance to it, no thin scraggly ends in sight. I posted it on Facebook and also commented on the youtube video.

Reniece is an example (if not THE BEST example) of when a stylist knows what they are doing, are willing to work with clients, not getting the instant gratification of a "hairdo" that looks good at the salon but the client doesn't know what to do with their hair at home.

Some stylists think that by educating their clients they will lose them, they want to be like a crutch so the client will only rely on them, when it's the opposite, they will come back, be your client for life and will be the best advertisement for their business.

I just downloaded "The 5 Archetypes of Hair" on iBooks. This is a great video of how a salon is creating progress instead of setbacks. Going back to watch again!

candie19 how is the book in eformat? I was thinking of getting it for my kindle but if it has a lot of pictures the kindle format may not be worth it?

Yessss to all of this !!!

This video is a testament to the fact that healthy hair is beautiful at any length. Gorgeous heads of hair!

Yay I live in ATL! *finally something good about it* j/k :look:

ETA: I've seen Tamika's site before (when I googled Reneice a while ago) and I didn't see anything but weaves, so I was just like *shrug* Although I'm open to weaves, I would be more interested in a consultation and flat iron on my real hair (once it gets to my goal length).

There is some Beautiful hair in that video! And my sister (client B is my sis) is one of the featured heads. Yay! :)

Allandra and MDWezi and MsKibibi you ladies look lovely. Reniece is the truth. I am so thankful that my hair is in her hands.

I bought the book for every one of my girlfriends who never listen to me about their hair. The ones that saw me go from tore up, chewed up hair a few years ago and yet they STILL don't believe me. Darn shame.......

I knew I saw so LHCF ladies in there. I knew Mdwezi. And it's funny, I knew one person by the back of their head  That must have been Allandra.

@faithVA

:giggle: Yes that was me. even my bun drop just showed the back of my head (@ 3:00). :yep:

I'm client F. :yep:

That's funny. If I saw your face I wouldn't know you. But if you turned around, I would say - I know that head  It's amazing how heads of hair can be distinctive.

Until seeing this video today i was not sure what my hair type is, and behold now i know. Going to go watch the video again. :)

I've known about Reniece for a while, but when I checked her site it was all about weaves. Anyone know why the pressing services aren't really spoken about on the site?

Enyo i was wondering the same. I think it's because the main protective style she utilizes to grow her clients' hair is weave.

Sent from my SGH-T959 using LHCF

It's so funny how I immediately recognize folks by their hair. Love that everyone is full from root to tip. I hope to get there one day.

Thanks for sharing OP, just yesterday i was watching Reniece's channel doing her bun drop video, was thinking when are we gonna get more videos and just before my thoughts could finish i get something to  about.

Lovely hair all of them, and the video was nicely edited. I loved the double of Bun drop. Off to DC this hair of mine.

Thanks OP, I think this video inspired a whole mess of us to get our lazy butts up & do something with their hair today. LOL. Oh, I wish my hair was as full as ANY of those ladies'l!!! I mean..it's like every single strand on their head is healthy & even. I need to figure out something because I've been hit with a serious case of hair envy.

Pre-conditioning now....off to wash & DC. :(

This book does have color photos and pictures. I think you would like it better in eformat than the kindle. This book is a page turner for me. I've read lots of books about hair but this is a book I can relate to.

BEAUTIFUL! :lick: I like that she listed some of the products that she personally use and recommend. I use a few of those items as well. I can get a slick flat iron look, but I would like to know her blow drying technique. Maybe that would bring my flat iron skills to the next level. And I would like to see a fine haired client like myself. Maybe she has help them obtain thickness too, as well as length.

Does anyone know of who in Dallas is remotely that good?

Thanks for posting that! That sho nuff was some hair porn -- practically orgasmic, lol. :spinning:

It's been a while since I've seen a new Reniece video. It's nice to see she's even more excellent than before. She's extremely talented and obviously dedicated to perfecting her craft. She'll never be hungry with results like that.

I wonder how long it would take for me to get an appointment......
