Are products that contain cones the only way to get slip while trying to detangle or moisturize? I was trying to eliminate them all together. Are there some that are better than others?

I dont think suave or vo5 silicone free conditioners have great slip.
But Tresseme Naturals DEF does. Try it & you will like it.
Products that have behentremonium methosulfate at the top of the list. Don't worry - this isn't the sulfate that makes poos sud & dries your hair out. It is an emulsifier usually derived from oil & it gives great slip. Some of my faves that have it are Oyin's Honey Hemp detangling cond & KBB's Sweet Ambrosia leave-in. HTH...
Giovanni Smooth as Silk Deeper Moisture conditioner!
Steam with slippery elm. Tangles will literally slip out. Also I'm with the others, Giovanni is amazing!
Is that an oil?
I agree with many things posted previously ---
-Aubrey Organics offer great slip - I especially like HSR and WC.
-I dilute AO conditioners with water and use it as a daily spritz.
-Behentremonium methosulfate offers great slip.
-Slippery elm and marshmallow root tea offers great slip - I use them for tea rinsing.
-Oil rinsing with wheat germ offers great slip to the hair also.

When you do tea rinsing with the elm & marshmallow root, do you use them separately or together? Do you have a recipe or do you just make it like you'd make a normal cup of tea?
Also, how do you oil rinse with wheat germ oil? My hair loves it & I would love to include it in another way. TIA...
