Hi Beautiful ladies,

Ive been trying to rollerset but i cant get it so my roots are straight, and it takes forever *Sighs*

Any tips? Im desperate ladies lol

Roll it tighter and use two clips.

Speed comes with time.

I agree, check out the roller setting thread for more tips. I put diagrams in that thread for flatter roots.

Comb your hair smooth upwards and forward. Hold the ends of your hair and place your roller at the very end. Smooth hair on the roller and pull tight as you roll it down. When you roll it all the way down, clip on both sides so that the clip attaches to the roller and your roots. Your rollers (if rolling under for body) should sit so that you can see the part in your hair below it. Roll so that you are somewhat rolling your hair forward. This will help with pulling your hair tighter to straighten your roots.

My suggestion: Watch an online tutorial on YouTube of a Stylist doing a roller set. Get the hang of it watching one person do it to another person versus someone doing it to themselves. People who do it to themselves often times are cutting corners or taking shortcuts.

Use the tension method. Make sure hair is wet, detangled and ends lay smooth on the roller. The put the roller near the ends, smooth the hair and roll, then pull taut, roll again, pull taut, so the roots will stay taut and smooth.
Now I always flat iron the newgrowth when I'm several weeks post relaxer.
