Mega Hit:
Jessicurl Too Shea Extra Moisturizing Conditioner- I received a sample of this in my curlmart order and babyyyyy this conditioner made my hair so soft and very moisturized. But its 16.95 a bottle!! I will be ordering this when I come back from my vacation.

Hit:
Bobeam Cheris Hibiscus Poo Bar- didn't strip my hair and lathered nicely.
Coconut Oil- works nicely on my skin too

Miss:
Aubrey Organice HSR- It didn't do a thang for my hair! :nono: After all the hype I heard about this product I expected much more. I'm going to try it again underneath my steamer and if that doesn't work I'll just use it to cowash

Continued Hits:
- Oyin Honey Hemp (I put this in the freezer for 7 months and it is watery and smells terrible , but it still leaves my hair soft and shiny)
- Devacurl One Conditioner

Hit & Miss:
- QB AOHC as a leave-in: absolute miss; greasy weighed-down hair
- QB AOHC as a nighttime moisturizer, pre-poo, and to steam with: hit! hit! hit! breaks down hair nicely, makes it easy to detangle.

Miss:

SD Mocha Silk Hair Milk- made my hair hard

Darcy's Pumpkin condish

Sent from my 4G Thunderbolt using LHCF app

Hits
B.A.S.K Palm Tapioca Deluxe Hair Cream (this might be an alternate to Qhemet's AOHC for me)
B.A.S.K Silk & Honey Latte in the Nectarine Vanilla scent
Aloe Vera Gel

Continued Hits
Wen Mango Coconut
Silk Dreams Vanilla Silk

Misses
Going on the IMDB page of any black actress. It's like people can't see a black woman as beautiful unless she's mixed with something. I went on Freema Agyeman's page and someone was shocked that they found her so beautiful, but concluded that it was because she was half Iranian.

Moderate Hit:
Jane Carter Curls Cream - Gave OK definition, and moderate bounce. Hair stayed moist all day, and no frizz. If I ever run out of AG, I'll have this in the stash.

Continued Hit:
Tresseme Naturals Moisture Condish
Wen Mango Coco
AG re:Coil Curl Activator
WnG's (I just don't care about the SSK's!)
Detangling with fingers, or Bohn comb
Saying away from the ghatdamned Denman brush.

Miss:
Garnier Fructise Curl Cream - So terrible, I threw it in the garbage after one use. Left my hair sooo dry, and frizzy...which was bloody Amazing, considering that I had oil rinsed and mixed some Tresseme Naturals in with the GFCC.

Hits: Moroccan oil intense hydrating mask, moroccan oil treatment
Macadamia oil mask

Miss: The price of these suckas

Revisited HITS

Silk Dreams Mocha Silk Infusion - gives just the right amount of protein and my hair feels so good after rinsing.

Silk Dreams Vanilla Silk - I used this after the Mocha...:lick:

Hit: Suave Shea and Almond Conditioner
Very nice for a rinse out conditioner.. Has nice slip and rinses out clean

Hit:
African Pride Shea Butter Miracle

Miss:
Aphoghee Green Tea Reconstructorizer

everyone raved about it so I went out and bought 2 big bottles at $6.99. My hair feels no different after use so once they're used up I will not be buying them again.

Hit
Tresemme Naturals Nourishing moisture conditioner
Been trying to make this conditioner work since it came out in 2010(?). The new formula is much better then the original for me. Never knew how much isopropyl alcohol could actually dry out the hair until I tried the original formula.

Its got good slip for finger detangling, and co washes... it washes out pretty good leaving no product residue (which I hate and find common in cheaper conditioners rinse out).

Summer time comeback hit: Oyin refreshing sprays. I'm currently using Greg juice, and Go tea spray

Continued Hit

  • Barry Fletcher Moisture Mist/Spray - Pepperminty; leaves hair smelling refreshed. One 32 oz. bottle lasts at least six months.
  • Barry Fletcher Twist Like This Putty - Non greasy, dries hair to a super soft sheen; concentrated.
  • Afro Detangler - A very nice water based conditioner. Not greasy. Long lasting. Removes tangles easily. One 64 oz. bottle lasts over a year.
  • Oyin Honey Hemp- A very nice creamy conditioner/leave-in.
  • Paul Mitchell The Conditioner (leave-in moisturizer) - Super moisturizing; not greasy what so ever. One liter size bottle will last a year.
  • Cathy Howse UBH Shampoo - Lightly scented; not drying; concentrated.
  • Keracare Humecto Conditioner - Conditions and moisturizes well. Economical in the 5lb jar. My last jar lasted well over a year.
Major Miss

  • Coconut Cream Relaxant - Left hair oily/greasy; Hair not moisturized; very difficult to rinse out of hair
  • Aveda Brilliant Shampoo - Too pricey for just a standard shampoo; no added benefits.
  • Aveda Brilliant Conditioner - See comments regarding shampoo
  • Aveda Repair Leave-In - Very expensive. Didn't see any changes in hair.
  • Barry Fletcher Loc Set Serum - Gross!! Too sticky and gluey. Didn't work for me.
  • Barry Fletcher Thick and Slick Gel - It's not thick or slick. It's an average clear gel. It's ok but I can find similar products in a local store.
  • Barry Fletcher Custard - Not for my type 4a hair. It may work for someone with a looser texture.
