Hi Ladies,

I met with member @Brittster yesterday. It was nice to have a client in my chair that I could talk "hair" with in detail. She is 3 months post and let me know she is considering transitioning to natural. Her hair was soft, full of body, and had a natural sheen to it that was amazing.

I took pics on my phone but shouldve taped a short video so you ladies could see the swing/shine in action.

What is silkining? Does that help blend new growth and relaxed hair?

Hi Diadall, silkening is just the name I use to describe my low-heat flat ironing method. I am 100% natural now and when I straighten my hair is use the same silkening technique. my hair reverts 100% after I wash it because i do not abuse heat at all.

That looks awesome! I wish I could find a stylist in my area who understands that I'm striving for healthy hair!

Yessss! I loved my hair yesterday! I didn't feel Beana's hands in my hair at all, she was extremely gentle and took her time with everything. When I was done, I was bobbing down the street and feeling the weight of my hair bounce up and down :lachen:.

your hair looks lush! thanks beana for this. i love the idea of using the super low heat. how did you come up with the technique?

Did someone say NYC? I, too, will be needing your services when I get the itch to straighten.

Awesome job!

beana.. low heat? Hmm you might have just answered my prayers.. do you have a website or FB where we can get more info and pics of your services? Im in NYC and I am definitely interested

Thanks ladies for all the compliments!

This forum inspired me to research the healthiest ways to straighten hair while preserving its health and vibrancy. Since everyone's hair is different, I use a slightly different approach on every head of hair. One thing stays the same... I never need more than ONE pass to get straight, flowy results.

keelioness I am currently working on watermarking all my photos for my online gallery that will be available in early May.
