This is one of my favorite styles. Please post more pictures.
I got them from pinterest, I just typed in 'natural hair'
I love this look!!! My twist outs rarely look like this, but I'm going to try some of the suggestions in this thread next time. My thing is, I have layers, so the back always hangs lower than the front and makes an odd shape.
My texture is looser in the back so it gives me the worst mullet
robot. I saw this gif on my blog and thought of this thread.

Thanks for this! It looks like I'm not separating enough. I'm going to try this.

I think if your hair is flopping then you should take your twists down before they are fully dry so that they shrink up and give you more of a fro and maybe your hair will not flop. My next piece of advice would be to get a curly haircut. You hair my need shape in order to fall in place the way you want.

This! I took down one of my twists to retwist it. It was damp and I and noticed it fluffed perfectly, so I'm gonna try that method too.

I've been thinking about a haircut but I don't know who to trust to do it. :ohwell: I do have a salon in mind I need to try.

Haha! This is funny. My hair looks like those pictures right after I co/wash. The girl in the orange shirt sort of looks almost just like me, same fro and everything. Similar body shape, too. Weird. Haha

In terms of not getting the part/flopping, I feel like that just happens naturally when your hair gets longer.

I second the chunky twist out, though. That will give you a similar shape. You could pick it out or fluff it to your desire.

I think that the ladies in the inspiration pics have haircuts that create the shape. All of their textures are different, but they have a strong rounded shape cut into the hair.

My hair is shorter but the concept is the same. I just twist overnight on damp hair then fluff the next day

I have a zit so had to block my chin :/

If you separated it a bit more, it'd be my dream fro.

I'm beginning to accept that. I was able to get a lot of volume today but the shape is off. I have a salon in mind I want to check out, I remember a lady there had a great fro.

I'm wearing my hair a lot like that today. It's longer than what's pictured in the OP but Big.

I just to my standard nightly routine, wet, detangle with fingers, add JBCO, and braid except i make sure the braids are huge. I wake up add a bit more JBCO, lift with fingers and go.

got a nice huge fro today! i'm gonna go for a consultation or two about a hair cut/shaping next week.

Two strand twists into bantu knots, also a fail. My hair isn't very thick, but I'm going to try chunky twists tonight or tomorrow.
