I saw it at Sally's and remembered that you guys suggested it. I finally used it today and was pleasantly surprised! it smells so good and not all chemically and stink like other pomades/wax sticks. New staple!

i saw this at sally's the other day too. it was the only jar and i took the top off to see the consistency of it and it looked like someone already dug their fingers in it so i put it back. i was excited to see the curls products though...they had the curls unleashed by ors too.

@southerncitygirl You read my mind because I was about to post in here

Yes I like this paste as well. It smoothes down my edges and it smells very nice. I try to use it on my hair when its curly to smooth down my hair. I don't like the way it looks on my straight hair.

I like all of Curls products
how does it look on straight hair?

Curls websitebhas 25% off right now. Last day

eta: okay i see this is the target curls. i'm buying this 2morrow:look:

I love that stuff!I use it for twist outs as well. I just don't get too heavy cus it can make your hair look stringy.

This stuff is the truth! I bought it about 3 weeks ago with the Goddess Curls. I want to try the Creme Brulee one too.

Are you guys using it with water?Tieing with a scarf after? Any special way? I've had mine for a year and I just can't get good results  And I really want to like it because its not too expensive and it smells so yummy

How are you using it? Personally I wouldn't use it as a styler. I don't use water or anything since I am just putting it on my edges but using a scarf would probably give even a better result.

On me.. if I put too much (which I did) it looks weird. Like when you put gel on straight hair. My hair is straight today and I'm going to apply it again and see how it looks. Maybe I applied too much.

I just rub it on my hands and smooth back my bun. I will experiment and see if maybe I am using too much or not warming it up in my hands enough.

I purchased this tonight. I'm transitioning as a 4a/4b.

I wear my hair pulled back in protective styles including using phony ponytails and I want to add to my stash so I will be ready as I move further into my transition.

I use the Hicks Edges Transformation Pomade (which I love) and my initial reaction with the Curls Control Paste is that it does a better job with less product.

I'll use it some more to see if it is a keeper. So far, so good. The real test will be how it holds up at the gym with heavy sweating during Spin class. :yep:

I love this stuff! In the beginning of my transition it didn't work that well on my edges and they would sweat put quickly. Now that it is cooler, my hair loves it. I use it on top of ecostyler to smooth back my buns. It doesn't hold up that well when I work out but I sweat a lot when working out

Thanks for the review shortt29!
I'm going to see how if performs for me tomorrow morning in Spin class.
Just trying it out tonight (but that was over the Hicks I applied this morning).

No problem. I wanted to trash it at first so give it a few tries.

Whew I am soooo late to the party with this product! But I must say I LOVE it! I only use it to smooth my edges when I pull my hair back. I have the ORS and Cream of Nature versions and Passion Fruit Curls Pomade beats them both hands down!

I always pick this up when I go to Tar-jay but never purchase. One because the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Perfect Edges is cheaper by the ounce and I still haven't finished mine and b. it just doesn't smell like Passion Fruit to me. I like the smell but I can't place it and it bothers my mild OCD just a tad. But now that I see everyone raving about it I'm going to give it a try. I said that I don't have my usual extra funs for products in my budget right now but I do have a bunch of Tar-jay gift cards and a 10% off day so this might be coming home with me this month!!!

I completely understand! However I think its just a marketing thing. I think they put passion fruit on the name because the paste contains passion fruit oil or something. However I think it smells like caramel and assumed it was similar to the oyin burnt sugar pomade. Aint no way passion fruit smells like THAT

ITA. I just bought this a few days ago after reading reviews here and it is Dabom! I am relaxed and I use it to lay me sides/edges down. Much better than ORS which I also recently bought.

Smells awesome!
