If I were natural or stretched my relaxer longer, I would probably notice whether or not my hair was changing. But my newgrowth looks the same.

ETA: I'm sorry Qualitee, I just realized you're looking for responses from naturals.

I think I'm all 3c, but I have noticed the same thing. I know it's not heat-damage, because my 3 DD's hair also loosens at longer lengths. When DD#2's hair was at SL, the curls were tighter than they are now - at nearly MBL. My goddaughter's hair is much, much looser than when her hair was shorter. She's close to Classic Length. It just takes more work for the curls to form once the hair is that long, IMO.

I've noticed this recently. I am 3c/4a and my hair texture seems to have loosened slightly now that it is getting longer. The weight of your hair can pull yours curls down.

I think for almost any texture, as the hair gets longer the coils or curls "loosen" because the weight of the longer hair stretches out the strands. It depends on the head of hair though...

Yes, I definitely did notice that as my hair got longer, my curls became slightly more elongated-- not by alot, but still noticeable. I have very fine hair, so I suspect that if my strands were thicker, the more noticeable the elongation would've been. I think it has to do with strand thickness as much length imo

It's ok :)

im a 3c and my curls don't stretch out more now that I'm almost waist length but i think mine has to do with the fact that my hair strands so fine because my friend's hair used to be close to a 3c when it was shorter and now that its tailbone length its stretched out to 3b and even 3A in some places but her hair strands are very corse. i wish mine would stretch a little because it tangles something fierce. lol

Yes, I've noticed a major change. about 1/2 of my hair is just waves now :(

The same goes for me. My hair runs ranges from 2c/3a to 4a . The 2c/3a parts are pretty much straight and look heat damaged even though they're not. The remaining tighter type 3 sections are waves with coils at the end. The type 4 sections now look a bit more 3c, but it's not such a drastic change as the rest of my hair. My wash n gos pretty much suck now :ohwell:
