1. flat ironing my hair with leave in conditioner will cause tuberculosis because it makes the flat iron smoke. This includes shea butter, crisco, oils, or any type of heat protectant we naturals use.

6. My hair can take a lot of heat and i need a stronger flat iron that goes high (....... but what about tuberculosis????? :look:)

WTF?!!!!!!

Yeah, what about the TB. :rolleyes:

Congrats on being newly natural!!!! Your hair is beautiful!!

Omg I couldn't stop laughing about the tb comment! Anywho your hair is so pretty & thick! Lovely hair ma'am.

LOL congrats on being fully natural.

She sounded ignorant as hell and prob mad that she is losing business.

What the fudge?

Your hair looks beautiful OP, sorry you had a stylist spewing so much idiocy.

Tuberculosis????? WTH?
Did she have white powder under her nose while she was talking to you?

:lachen::lol::lachen:

Good grief... May I ask, what her hair looked like :look:?

Her hair was short, curly, and dyed golden brown. It was really cute. BUT then i thought about it, she seemed as if she had been natural for a while. Her hair was super short because she probably didn't know how to take care of longer natural hair. Her hair was like she had just BC'ed 3 months ago eventhough she'd been natural for years.... The 'advice' she was giving me confirmed my prediction :yep:

That was pure comedy. I'm glad your hair came out great and congrats on being natural.

I actually keep my regimen to myself when I go to the salon. I'll answer if I'm asked, but because I don't want to hear any lip, I don't talk about it.

:lachen::lol:

:look:maybe this stylist snorts or ingests nutmeg (in large quantities it is hallucinogenic) all ish she told you is caca busura:nono:! so glad your transition is done. the your hair looks lush, helathy and undamaged to me.:yep: time for you to ask ladies on this forum for a good stylist in your area for dusting and flat-ironing if you don't feel comfy doing it on your own.

Thanks ladies!! you guys comments are hilarious :giggle: I kind of wondered if she was a member on one of these forums :look: because i didnt really have to say much before she started to :blah: She was just throwing stuff out there (that ive learned from forums) without me really even giving her a regimen. She prolly a troll somewhere really angry :rolleyes::lol:

Your beautician had a lot to say about hair care when she only have zilch on her own head. I would take everything she says with a grain of salt. Your hair is beautiful and whatever you are doing seems to be working so keep on growing girl.

It's hard out here for a beautician. The economy, youtube, bloggers, message boards got us all trying to get beautiful WITHOUT beauticians. She needs to remember what ELSE she was good at back in school because it's not going to get any better out there. Sorry.

Your hair looks GORGEOUS! Great progress OP. And good luck with that nasty TB.

*cough* Congratu *cough* lations, OP *cough*
Oh, no! She's got the "TB"! I hear it's contagious. Nobody borrow her flat iron!:lol:

Good! Save your money for more oils and conditioners... and TB medications. LOL

Your hair looks healthy and thick; clearly you know what you're doing.

OP, thanks for sharing your lovely thick hair with us. And those choice words of a lurking Hairdresser! Too bad she doesn't have swanging hair to prove her theory! :lachen::lachen::lachen:

I've been given bad advice before by a few stylists but goodness...tuberculosis?. Luckily your hair turned out great. It looks like you she took a couple inches off but nothing crazy.

I agree that you should probably find another stylist though

I has to go get my gas mask before I could finish reading this post. I could just FEEL the TB oozing thru the screen!

All LHCF members who flatiron are infected! Does this mean we'll be banished to the same island????
