Any recommendations? I love hair dew but I don't like ordering staple products. Is their anything comparable that I can get at the store?

not that i know of....you can try shea moisture but its really not comparable. go to whole foods or your local helathfood store and check out what they may have.

Curl Junkie Coffee Coco Curl Cream Lite (CCCL) is similar. I have both products. The fragrance is strong tho and lingers on my hair. Such a shame cause otherwise I love it.

Hope I got that long name right lol. Check the website for retail locations.

ETA: Hmm looks like they don't have any retail spots in IL. Boo...

Thanks for responding. I have shea moisture I don't really like it though. I just use it because it's in my cabinet. But I will check out whole foods and my local health food store (they have a wide selection of products).

Hopefully, I'll find something.

I have yet to find anything remotely similar to Hair Dew.

:sad::sad: .

Since I love Qhemet products, I think I may try their Moringa Tree Conditioning Ghee and use it as a leave-in. My local health food store sells it.

Otherwise, I guess I'll have to suck it up and order the hair dew.

prettyinpurple, where do you get yours in the DMV?

Hair Dew was not impressive to me. It dried my hair up something horrible.:ohwell: I wanted badly to love it.:look:

i hated giovanni direct leave in, i once tried to use it as a replacement when i was using kbb hair milk and my hair did this to me:look::
:censored::buttkick::catfight::kick::kick2::nono2:

i like oyin hair dew but its only good for me duringt he summer months, i like db leave-in better....if kbb wouldn't have acted a dang fool i would have continued with the hair milk.

@TopShelf
I have not bought it locally yet, only online. But their website lists a salon in Laurel and a BSS in Alexandria. I think chebaby has gotten it in Alexandria. Sadly the natural hair care store in White Oak closed and it had the line too.

@chebaby: Does the BSS in Alexandria carry the entire CJ line? Is it overpriced? Thanks!
they carry most of the line(off the top of my head the only thing i think they dont carry is the new gel and the coffee cream light). they charge about $2-4 dollars more. the deep treatments go for about $24 and everything else is like $19-20 dollars. i think its reasonable since you dont have to pay for shipping and then wait for it to come.
they charge about $3 more for qhemet and even more for miss jessies(which i dont understand since you can get MJ from asian bss and target for less).
they now carry myhoneychild and unless they dropped the prices they were literally charging DOUBLE the price:nono:

Bublin

komaza care also has quite a few hair lotions (shea, coconut curl, califa) that are glycerin free you should check out her site and she if you stocks/distributes in the UK.

I saw a yt video wherehttp://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=/&gl=US#/watch?v=8_LBUhJKRBA someone compared it to giovanni direct leave.

HTH

I use elucence moisture benefits as a leave-in. I also hear that many like the Giovanni direct leave in

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I tried Giovanni while relaxed but when I went natural it didn't do much. I really wanted to like it but it made my hair kinda hard.

I'll look into Elucence. I've heard good things about it.

This is ALL MY OPINION!!! lol

I used to be a GDLI and Giovanni SAS FREAK and neither of them are anything like Hair Dew. All three are good, but apples and oranges IMO.

The consistency of Hair Dew is similar to Alaffia Beautiful Curls leave-in, which I have purchased from Whole Foods. I have not used that leave-in in about a year or two, but if I remember it correctly, it was alright, but not as moisturizing as Hair Dew. I bought the 16oz bottle of Hair Dew on Black Friday and I absolutely love it. I WILL be repurchasing.

consistency: Giovanni SAS > Alaffia > Hair Dew > GDLI

love factor: Hair Dew > Giovanni SAS > GDLI > Alaffia

:)
