I was about SL. I updated to add before pictures. About five inches of hair? I still have a bunch of relaxed ends, so I'm gonna clean it up and be back with my first wash n go!

And be careful with all of that cutting. Through my many BCs over the years, I learned that what I thought was leftover perm was either my texture or my hair had still been stretched from wearing a bun/ponytail.

Maybe you can wait a few washes, protein txs and DCs before chopping more?

Pretty relieved! I was tired of using so much product and it's going to hair that I'm not keeping. And the fact that my relaxed hair was tangling, but my NG was acting great! And, I want to get to know my curlies.

Update: the back still has a bunch of relaxed ends.

see that big curl at the top? That's from my crown aka wack patch. While I was transitioning it would never curl. Now I don't know whether it's because my hair is 3c or if there is heat damage. My son has looser curls in this area as well, maybe it's just how our hair grows? I cut this part longer just in case, because it was super hard to tell what was natural and what was relaxed without the helpful coilies.

headband fixes everything!!!


So far, I can take this away from this..
My wack patch really is wack!
My edges are 4b while the rest is a 4a mix.

I used the tightly curly method to define my curls and while it works, twirling each individual curl takes too long. And it doesnt work for my frizzy front.

Oh yea, my last relaxer was April 28th, so this is about six months of growth. I shouldn't have permed that last time, I would've had a total of ten months of growth

That's why I eventually stopped cutting. I'm going to protective style for a month or so, then go to a natural salon to finish it up. But I feel freeeeeeeeeeeeee!
