miss:salerm 21 leave in w/b5 huge miss for me. i dont know why so many people like it. it leaves my hair terribly ashy and tangly as a leave in. i cannot even use it as a moisturizer. it feels so nice when wet so i might just use it as a detangler.

MISS: Elasta qp intense fortifying conditioner. Worthless. Did nothing for my hair...

HIT: APHOGEE 2 minute reconstructor. Yummy!

Sent from my T-Mobile G2

New Hits:

Claudie's Fortifying DC'er (for Cowashing)
L'anza Reconstructor

Continued Hits:

Alfaparf Rigen
Black Tea Rinses

MISS:

SilverBird blowdryer.. It wasn't super terrible but I felt like for $50, I should have had better results. I'll just invest in an FHI for when I'm ready to blowdry again.

HIT:

Prevana leave in - used it before straightening along w/ a little Sabino. Loved the results.

As I Am products - Twist cream, double butter cream and smoothing gel - Used it for a twist out last night, hair is just now getting a little 'boofy' but still has mad shine definition and moisture. Love.

Ion brand hair color from Sallys + Sensitive Scalp developer - Ill prolly never use another brand of color on my hair (if I'm doing it myself). Consistent results, pretty predictable outcome and hair feels great after.

Flat twist outs - Yeah, Im done w/ Wash n Gos for the year lol. I feel like my ends get chewed up quickly w/ wash in go's.

Aloe Vera Juice - I like it for rewetting during twisting better than water, I think it helps with moisture, imho.

Hemp Oil - Added to my DC = yummy. Need to re-up.

I had a week off so.. yeah. :look:

Hit:
Silk Dreams Wheat Germ Butter and Vanilla silk Conditioner
Giovanni Smooth as Silk Conditioner
Aussie Moist conditioner
Hair Dye....opened up my cuticles and helped me to retain more moisture.

Miss:
Possibly the Hello Hydration conditioner. My cowashes were nice and soft and all of a sudden they became crunchy and may be because I switched from Aussie to this. I'm gonna wash my hair tonight with shampoo and then condition with my regular stuff and check my results.

HITS:
- VO5 conditioner for co-washes
-twist-outs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MISSES:
-Tangle Teezer. -_- (wanted so badly to like it so much...now it's just a 'meh' after-styling tool.

HITS

steaming
Mango butter (forgot I had an unused tub in the fridge)
SM purification mask (forgot I had it)
terressentials mud wash

misses

Darcys - transitioning creme (its only good for me mixed with a humectant actually dries out my hair)

Qhemet - AO Hydrating Balm on wet hair --- only good for taking down twist outs ie: on dry hair, even so I dont particularly love it for my hair, its a good body oil though.

Just ok:

Curl Junkie Replenshing Conditioner

I can't say this is a hit or a miss. It's just.. ok. It's supposed to be a protein treatment and I figured it would be a bit creamy and moisturizing. I can't say I see any strength or anything afterwards. I will def finish the bottle but they'll be no need for me to repurchase. I use it with heat and it's ok. I think i'll stick with my Nexuss Emergencee for protein and strength.

Hit: Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner

This was a miss back when I was relaxed, but I used it on wet/damp hair after washing. Now I mix it in with my water/glycerin/honeyquat spritz and nothing makes my hair softer! Glad I had some left from back in the day to revisit! :fridge: <--(giant vault of barely used hair products from back in the day) :lachen:

MAJOR HITS:

Pure Organic White Camellia Oil
Aubrey Organics White Camellia Conditioner
Silicon Mix Leave-in Conditioner
Oh! And a shampoo brush. Lawd I thank ya

Hit: Washing hair like this ---> protein condish, moisture condish, sulfate free shampoo and then sealing with almond oil and olive oil ecostyler :)

Baggying with shea butter+oils before ^^^

Miss: detangling dry hair :nono:

HITS:

Shescentit Okra Reconstructor- As someone posted in a thread awhile back, the moisture/protein balance on this thing is amazing. I didn't even feel like I needed to condition afterwards. AND, the smell is SO INCREDIBLE! I was in heaven

Shescentit Avocado Conditioner- Amazing slip and moisture for my hair, and the same scent as the Okra Reconstructor. Once again, floating on cloud 9!

Shescentit Carrot & Pumpkin Seed Defrizzer- OMG, YUM! I adore the way this smells! And the formula is incredible; I have hair that can easily get weighed down and get greasy, however, if I dont put something in it, it can just as easily get dry. This helps to avoid both; it's so lightweight, when I was at the salon and the stylist was applying it t my hair yesterday she kept telling the other stylists "...agua!" because it's light like water. However, it absorbed into my hair like nobody's business, without weighing it down. It provided softness and shine :)

Funny story about the carrot-pumpkin defrizzer; I was at the dom. salon yesterday and when she used this on my hair, her eyes lit up and she was like " Ayeeeeee!" She kept putting her hands to her nose and proceeded to call all the other stylists to my chair so she could show them how light the texture was (she kept describing it as light as agua) and letting them smell the oil. They were all speaking in spanish, but kept saying "Ayeee! Wow!" LOL I guess they really loved the smell and product, because as I was leaving, the receptionist (who speaks fluent english) asked if I could write down where I got the product from!

Miss
Kinky Curly Custard
I will prob revisit this next summer but for now i dont need it. Didnt like the feeling of it on wet hair. It defined like crazy and it controlled frizz well. But as a relaxed head i dont need this since i dont do many wet sets in the colder months. I totally would use this for wash n go or braidouts for warmer weather tho.

Hit: after conditioning my hair using acv with either a spray bottle or dunking my head in the sink for as long as I can take it. It has made my hair sooo much
more manageable post wash!

Miss: queen helen curl cream for a twist out on wet hair. Left a lot of residue on my hair when dried and I used very very little. But the. Again my hair hates HATES KCC too so I should have known.

Redken All Soft conditioner

@Brownie518

I hated Redken All Soft too. Smooth Down Butter Treat was much better (IMO).

I guess I shouldn't say I "Hated it" I just didn't like it at all.

Would never repurchase not even at TJ Maxx or Marshall's...yeah Hated It.

hits:
jojoba oil
Razac leave in(must shake well before using! makes all the difference!)
elasta qp design foam
razac finishing creme
using setting lotion on braidouts(they last and last and last with no rebraiding!)
sitting under the dryer to help braid outs dry
miss:
Praital silk worm cream. it was just ok on my natural but my relaxed hair hates this
Herbal essences Long term relationship leave in:Garbage!

I totally AGREE....Redken All soft was....:ohwell: Its 95% full, and sitting in my cupboard. Didn't do a DAMN thing.

Miss Big Time: Mini twists; mini twists with gel; mini twist with co-wash. Lesson learned: My hair does not like mini twist. Knot city lol

Hit: Co-washing. I used V05 passion fruit with soy milk protein. Hadn't done it since I was fully relaxed but it restored my curls (which made me realize I am overdue for a protein treatment!)
