Thanks ladies! I have a coworker who recommended Nioxin. So I'll try this one first. I'll let you all know how it works out.
Lita You are SUCH a doll! Thanks so much. I remember someone mentioned the Nu Hair working for them and it was you. I'm guessing it slowed down your shed? Or did it regrow your hair? Those are 2 separate issues I see that I will have to deal with. Just because I stop it from shedding, does not automatically grow or fill in the bald spots.
I may just add Nu Hair to my regimen just because. Its so HARD, HARD to find something to help with dht hair loss. Shedding or growing its hard to find something that works for either without prescription.
@chicha It helped with the shedding....I also change my diet..It goes Hand-n-Hand...
Please keep us posted...
Happy Hair Growing!
@Lita Wow now here's a new one. Someone else mentioned changing their diet also. I didn't think much of it. But I needed something else to jump start growth as I normally don't have a problem with growth but dht has halted it. So in looking for help I decided to give it a try. Haven't yet but its in the works.
What do you avoid and try to eat? Is it a certain type of diet?
@chicha Hi! I drink green vegs & fruits daily...Low sugar intake,minimize fried foods (dont eat to often) bake fish,turkey & I don't eat too much beef..Steam a lot of my vegies..power walk 3-4xs a week...take vits...
*I DO HAVE MOMENTS WHEN I GIVE IN...lol...But,I quickly return...lol
Happy Hair Growing!
@blueberry2118 Textlaxed. I wish you could but it's a hormonal hair loss. The female version of male pattern baldness. Yes THAT! (sigh). So I want a daily vitamin that really reduces shedding for those who deal with this.
People who have PCOS, Or receding hairline, thinning temples, thinning upper area in the back of the scalp (where many men bald, that back spot) usually have dht issues or female pattern hairloss issues. And right after a baby the same thing happens but turns to normal later.
So Lita you are telling me when you ate healthier you actually saw less shedding in your hair? Really? Or was it like just a 'more shiny' thing or 'healthy hair' thing.
The less shedding thing when eating healthier would be very major. And surprising.
