Soo..my failed rollerset...

(a) Your hair is gorgeous!

(b) Those rollers are waaaaaaaaaaaay too small for your hair. You are going to be needing those big grey or purple magnetic rollers.

(c) You also need to put less hair on each roller so you can pull your roots more taut and then your roots will be smoother after the rollerset.

I agree. I think you may have the results you are looking for with bigger rollers.

Thanks everyone! I know how to do a rollerset...just not on MY head! lol I was like OMG, I tried the straight pins and they would not stay.

Your hair is stunning. As for the rollerset it looks fine you got some pretty curls although I can't imagine hoW long you sat under the dryer for!

My head wouldnt fit under the dryer!! I'm looking into a soft bonnet dryer. I had to air dry most of this, get little bits under my hard hat dryer the next day, and still use the handheld to get the dampness out of the roots and part of the right side.

Empressri, I LOVE your hair! It is just so beautiful, healthy, and thick from root to tip. Words can not explain :thud: Oh and I think you are at the hip right now and you'll be crackin' by Christmas, if not before .

Your hair looks beautiful! I still have to laugh at those purple rollers you put in. Leave those for the ladies with SL hair. You would need 9-12 more of the blue rollers - more rollers, less time under the dryer.

Haha I'd used all 12 of the blue rollers! I need a second set. Going to order them when I get paid!

Omg, it's gorgeous. I think your roller set was nice, I would have rocked it.

NOOO GIRL!!!!!!! I looked CRAZY!!! It was damp at the roots and in some places and started reverting back curl in the front on the right...it was special.

empressri I understand what you mean about the rollersets not looking as smooth as you would want but it wasn't a total fail cause your hair cannot fail :nono: :nono:

I really do think you are already touching HL, no? That length check is to die for!!!

Is that hip length? Maybe I should dig up that chart hehe!!!

bigger than the blue ones?! oh me oh my, my hair will NEVER dry! lol

relaxed it took me three hours under the dryer and my hair was..shoulder length. now i shudder to think.

WOW! you and Imani saved me from the jumping off the ledge today! i was feeling down and considering relaxing!

your hair is awesome!

I don't do other people's hair but I would LOVE to rollerset your hair. It's gorgeous! What type of dryer are you using? I have a Pibbs that has hardly been used in the past year because I have been wearing ponytails and buns. But it dries hair really fast.

I need to roller set your hair and put you under the Pibbs!

I ordered some of the bouffant rollers yesterday. I've only done one rollerset since I stopped relaxing but it turned out great. It's time for me to start again.

Thanks girl! I was using my sister's old hard hat dryer..but my head wouldn't fit!!! I need at least 24 of those blue rollers I wonder if my head would even fit underneath a Pibbs! A few of my girls on the boards told me to try the soft bonnet dryer.

And I'd let you set my hair, stop playing. Gonna be at your doorstep with a bag of hair supplies in tow!!:lachen:

Yep! I think it is- not hip BONE length, but hip length...Where's that darn chart???!!!

With your hair, any rollerset you do will be a #WIN....hell any STYLE for that matter. I think it looks beautiful

!

I wondered if you could do this type of rollerset without using a hairdryer.

Your hair really came out lovely, and I like the roots :giggle:

I have a bonnet dryer, but it doesn't get hot enough.

I really want to try wet roller sets in the future. Right now I flat-iron and then use the satin covered sponge rollers at night for curls.

uhhhm yeaa sorry to burst your bubble but your rollerset and your hair sucks.sorry.

okokok im just saying that out of jealously, urgh lol

That's the same thing that happened to me when I tried to rollerset...sigh. You know your hair is still thebomb.com though girl!

empressri
I think you're HL too, maybe you'll get to full HL by the end of this year. great progress.

Janet'
you're right HL is the top of the hip bones and Hipbone length is actually almost CL.

Here's the chart

I saw your YT video before I saw this post and all I can say is...:drool::drool:

empressri love your hair! I was satisfy to try to reach only MBL (I've changed my mind from BSL), but now you are wanting me to go for HL. Wow, it is so full and healthy! I don't know if in the french rollers there are any bigger sizes than the blue. I would go for a bigger size for your hair and air dry in rollers if you can't fit under a dryer - or time to splurge for a Pibbs (It gives you a reason to buy one or hint for a gift among family and friends). Good luck and what is your YT link and username? TIA!
