This is the episode where a kid came it to pay for his mom to get her hair done for his mothers class reunion and his brother's graduation.

Her hair was natural and the roots were gray with red ends.

She was 'Elginized'.

NOT IMPRESSED!

Anyone else watch this foolywang?

Im sure some of us on here can do hair better than what I just saw.

I was wondering about her hair too. I thought it could be badly damaged relaxed hair? SMDH. What ever her hair was that stylist could've styled her hair better than that! But I gotta say I :love::love::love: me some Sean!!!

It looked better when she was in the chair. When they interviewed her it looked as if her curls were already falling. It didn't look like salon work.

I know one thing, they should have given that baby some change cause it was not worth $75. And another thing, who in the hell ever heard of "I take clients at least 25 and older." I can understand if you don't specialize in children, but if a 20 year old came in your would turn him/her away? That young man was doing a great thing for his mom but that guy wouldn't give him a chance because of his age. The fake attitudes are too much...especially from that blond haired guy.

If you do weaves, can you attempt to fool me please? Their weaves look weavy... they look like heavy hats on their heads and they are just curling away. I haven't been impressed with any of the styles that come out of that shop.

And how are heels comfortable when you're standing on your feet doing hair all day?

I watched that show because I just happened to have turned it on VH-1 because it's not entertaining at all. They are trying too hard and it seems too fake. They try to create drama and it's a fail.

I thought the mother was natural.

Because I was expecting the stylist to just throw a durn relaxer in her hair. That always happen when someone needs to get a makeover.

So while i was happy she didnt apply a relaxer, she could've done a better job with that blowout/press or whatever it was. I expected more.

well her hair looked badly damaged, so i think it turned out nice considering. i wish she was up for just chopping it off and starting over cause her hair isn't healthy.

Is this a new episode on now? Why is Sean so mad??

I am not particularly skilled with a flat iron but I think that I could have done a better job on that lady's hair.

It did not look like a professional had done it at all.

I've seen a couple of episodes and I'm not really impressed with the stylists or the quality of their work. They may be in an upscale area but their attitudes are really ghetto IMO.

Underwhelemed with what was done to her hair.

I do like the little tips they give out.

I get the feeling this show is being done to push his products. He wants to be like Paul Mitchell.

Problem though: When mentioned his product he just says my faboulus product. What is so fab about it? Why would someone want to purchase it? How is it different? Not sure if he has a site but he is adamant about being in all the stores and making that million dollars.

Lots of judgement is passed in that salon.

Excellent point Mscocoface, what is so special or different or beneficial about the products. I went on his web site and theres no detailed info on his products and the show is a little on the ghetto side, (had to say it). To be in Beverly Hills i was expecting the other stylist to be a little more professional. Just my opinion.

IDK... The stylist didn't have much to work with. I assume she tried to at least maintain the length. I think it would have looked better if she was allowed to cut it. Otherwise, I was actually pleasantly surprised.

Stylist aren't miracle workers. You gotta meet them half way.

That woman's hair looked a mess. They shouldn't have taken that boy's money for that. It looked like she'd had a rough day at work and was still trying to hold on to her style instead of bunning it before she left to go home.

I would NOT let any one of them stylist touch my hair!! I really hope they are just hamming it up for the cameras and that's not really how they act....... hot shameful mess if it is. :nono:

I saw this episode, but I was also on the internet at the same time, so I was going in and out. This show doesn't really hold my attention, so I didn't know the stylist was told not to cut the lady's hair. But as a stylist, she could have somehow persuaded her to add some shape to her hair. That lady's hair looked awful before & after the makeover, I hate when women have damaged hair with no real length (compared to the ladies on this forum) but don't want anyone cutting it. But like everyone else here has said, I haven't seen any impressive hairstyles on this show so far. Elgin's work isn't great and I personally think his hair looks heat damaged.

Anyone watching?
I really like Sean. Pls let us know what Jackee wants! Ugh the suspense!

Yes I watch the show too. Its entertaining but it cracked me up when Sean something like, "And don't even try to come sit in my chair if you have a head full of natural hair, I don't want anything to do with it" (paraphrased, not a direct quote). I thought it odd that a black hair dresser would be so adamant about not wanting to do natural hair. I think it would good if the salon had more variety in what they offer because it seems that its just a typical relax and weave salon. I don't think that the styles they've done have looked bad but they haven't looked awesome. I see way better done hair coming out of the dominican salons every day.

Was Sean serious about that horrible weave on Claudia Jordan? I have yet to see any impressive hair styles as well.

Ok I temporarily forgot what I had to say, as I was scrolling down and saw dude in Mech's siggy lol **composes self**

So I've been watching this show and waiting for the "elginized" looks to WOW me, major fail. Finally tonight I went on the website and saw prices for a lace front up to $500, and I bet that doesn't include the hair either! They are straight ridiculous with those prices smh. And then his product line...he has a protein conditioner called E-Pak...straight up jacked joico's k-pak conditioner lol.

Anywho, I will continue to tune in for Sean and the future drama, its super fake but what isn't on tv now a days?

Cosign. If her hair had seen years of damage and neglect, sitting in a chair for an hour won't fix that. I think it looked fine considering the original condition of her hair.

I LOL'd when he said that. He was so serious. "Don't come to me if you got a lot of natural hurr, 'cause I ain't interested". It doesn't bother me one bit. If you don't want to do my hair, I don't want you doing my hair. Win, win.

I've seen her hair look better than that. I was definitely not impressed with what he did to her hair. :nono:

I. HATE. THIS. SHOW!

I won't even comment on the quality of the hair results.

My problem is that if I am going to an upscale salon in Beverly Hills and paying Beverly Hills prices; I want the upscale experience. I can get what they are offering down at Sha Nay Nay's Klips and Kurls. I could not deal with the ghetto fabulous atmosphere.

This show is absolutely ridiculous . They don't even try to make "reality shows" believable anymore. Claudia Jordan's hair was a disaster, all of the styles i've seen have been a mess :nono:. Fake drama aside, Sean is entertaining though.

Unfortunately, I think Sean is the only one not being fake.

OMG!! I thought i was the only one that thought her weave was BUSTED!!! I was so not impressed and for a supposedly upscale salon in Beverly Hills if i didn't know better i would have figured they were based in some HOOD somewhere. No professionalism at all and that little fashion show in the shop, when do the customers come in? where are most of the customers? do they have enough customers? All fake drama, I tried but i don't think i will be watching again unless the step up their game.

It may be that most of their customers do not want to sign releases to have their mugs on this ghetto fabulous show.

I was thinking the same thing about the customers! Last night was my first and last time watching. Well...I may tune in for the "hair battle." :ohwell:
