I get more compliments with my hair short or pulled off my face. I still keep it long.

It's mostly boring men who think that women with natural hair can only have long hair if it's in braids or locs. To them, loose natural hair looks "wild" or "not neat." They also think that they are classier than the next ninja because they listen to Janelle Monae (even though they talk about her hair because it's "doing too much"). My response to them is..."Oh, then I guess we shouldn't go out because I wouldn't want you to dislike my hair down the line..." Deuces.

Bwhahaha...nah, they are just the types of guys who assume that a woman should care what their opinion is on her appearance, so they give it without anyone asking.

I am also somewhat surprised by this, I assumed men would just naturally prefer long hair. In my case, that's not true.

Lots of men like short hair in my experience

I used to care but now i do not. I have had several of my friends and an ex tell me that they think I should keep my hair short (NL) and that I would not look right with long hair.

But they have never seen me w/long hair (except weave and for me long REAL hair I think will look much better than long fake hair) so I don't think they can really even make that call. I think I will look fine w/long hair I will just have to have a nice cut/style that is flattering to my face. I think all those folks who didn't think it would be cute will be surprised and digging it once they see it.
