^ It's the one with no ammonia. Is this some what okay to use on relaxed hair? Has anyone used it with good results? What precautions would you take to ensure retention of relaxed and semi-permanently coloured hair? Anything you can add would be great and you can refer me to a thread if you like. Thank you in advance. :)

Bumping for you. I'm not really an expert on hair colouring but no ammonia is perfectly fine to use on relaxed hair.

It's a good idea to use shampoos that are designed to maintain your colour, try and avoid SLS shampoos as they may strip your colour away. I know you do this anyway but you should also condition regularly as you might experience more dryness with colour.

Thank you! That really is a relief to hear because I was just thinking of giving this product away to a friend that dyes her hair religiously.

I don't mind if the colour fades but I may opt for the SLS free shampoos because it would mean I dyed my hair for nothing in a sense. Oh and yes I will be increasing my deep conditioning sessions and using my more nourishing staples.

I've used this in midnight (black). It made my hair feel really good not like I would have to baby it for months. The only bad thing was it lasted almost a year. I guess because it washes out with 28 shampoos and I only shampoo 1xs a week. But other then that I really liked it.

Good, that's what I want! I figured it would last 28 shampoos for people that wash everyday. I wash once a week too so I want it to last a long time. The thing is I didn't buy black and I saw it lasts the longest.

i like this color. i used it in ebony mocha, nutmeg and rosewood. compared to a regular peroixde color they are much more gentle. but i did feel that it lowered the integrity of my hair by making it more pourous.my hair has low porosity by itself. i think you will be fine if you have a good deep conditioning regimen. at the time i used this i did not. btw i am natural but i just wanted to give my opinion because i didnt see many responses...

I've been doing research here instead of waiting for responses but I'm still skeptical. I plan to deep condition a lot if I do use the dye sometime this year. The general consensus so far is that it doesn't damage the hair as long as you take care of it so my fear has decreased but if more people would like to respond, relaxed or natural I don't mind. Thank you for your input. :yep:
