The fake lace-fronts/weaves on their heads are more superior to natural hair.
I got into a verbal altercation with some women (long story) and she had the most plastic looking lacefront pulled up to her eyebrows...now if I were her I wouldn't mention anything about hair because well, I don't have my hair on my head. But she says, "Go sit your nappy *** down", she said "nappy *** hair" a few more times. Then I called her out on her plastic lacefront, she sat down after that. Well, until her idiot friends gassed her up to resume the harrassment. Because I had an accent, she told me to go back to Africa (then she called me Jamaican, when I seemed unaffected *sigh*) and called me a Jigaboo (I never understood being called a racial slur by someone of the same race *shrug*) which is a whole 'nother story.

Back on topic, plastic hair > real hair?

What did it sound like? For example, if I felt I had busted looking hair, I wouldn't mention someone's hair in a argument. But she felt within her right/good enough about what she had to make disparaging remarks about my hair. I thought that was insane.

There's a lot of hate out there still for natural hair. Sometimes I have to take a step back when I realize in my own world (LHCF ), it'll be celebrated by many.

In the real world?

Flowing, long hair with no kinks will be the holy grail.

I think some women look ridiculous with wigs because they don't know their natural hairline and that the hair fades into the hairline and isn't so think at the front.

was she african american? some african american women dont feel africans are the same as us. you know the whole "we grew here you flew here" mentality and they feel africans think they are better than them (which sum have done to me not gonna lie but i dont generalize whole races cuz some are cool as hell) it was wrong of her to come @ u like that though cuz thats what white ppl told us to do back in the day y would u keep it around?? i guess its like the word n-i-g-g-a, some ppl just cant let ish go

That's true, but I think it's also hair/appearance in general. Like, if I got in an altercation with a chick I might call her weave busted or call her bald even if she didn't look busted - it's how people try to get you mad. Once this girl tried to go off on me (she happened to be White) and called me Michael Jackson. I simply CRACKED UP. People will say anything!

You're the second person to say the post has nothing to so with hair. Can you tell me what makes it seem like that? The source of our argument wasn't hair, true, so I didn't bother to post that. But I singled out a comment she made about hair to ask my question and to vent a little.

I'm just kind of in awe that you spoke to them for so long, but I wasn't there so I can't really judge. I tend to walk away from people who act like all they want is to cause trouble. I can't be bothered with crazy folk. Whether her intention was to be nasty about your hair, or to be nasty about where you came from, she wasn't worth the time nor energy in my book.
