My hair line has more fine strands but the crown is where I have the major mixture of strands also its dense. My nape is medium strands that are silky. Also one side is thicker than the other.

Thank you, and I LOVE your hair! When my hair was more TWAish I dyed it a light-med brown and the roots looked crazy when it started growing out, so I dyed it with henna to make it look more uniform (didn't want to use commercial dye again), and it turned out that bright!

This is why I love forums...because I feel like there are some things that I just don't know if it's normal or not and it's difficult to research via the internet.

Your hair doesn't look scalpy to me. It looks like your strands are fine but you have dense hair (a lot of it).

This explains a lot actually...other parts of my hair are medium and coarse, and for the most part my hair hates protein. But sometimes if I stay away from it for a long time, some of my strands start losing elasticity.
