Looks 3c/4a to me.

Loved your curlformers results. I was never interested in them before, I think I am now. :yup:

^^That's what I've been thinking but I've been wanting to know for sure!
And thanks girl! I did the short and narrow set in January and I liked the results, but it wasn't necessarily worth the trouble (obviously... I hadn't done another set since then). But I LOVED the results of this last set. I may have to do a new one every few days... lol. We'll see.

^^ Well it was brushed back with leave-in. not really slicked with gel or anything, if that's what you mean (is that what you meant?). But anyway, the second pic is hair I took down and rinsed off so I could have one that wasn't manipulated. Does that help?

Was it completely dry in that pic? It's hard for me to tell. If it was dry I'd say maybe 4a....just looking at that little section. The pulled back pic you won't be able to type properly because the hair is stretched.

^ It was pretty much dry... I'd say about 90%. I've been browsing and I think my hair is similar to Nikstar's and she's 4a, so that makes sense to me. I will post another pic when it's completely dry in the morning. Thanks for the input ladies. :)

I was told that I need to wait til I BC but I'm impatient. And based on a thread I started a while back, most people who did a long-term transition said that their hair type didn't really change when they chopped. We'll see. I guess I should just wait... :(

You could cut a little section or a piece. This is what I did. I thought I might be 3c/4a but I am 99% 4a with a little bit of 4b. I cut some in the crown, front, and back and that stuff coiled right up so that's when I knew I was 4a. The relaxed ends do weigh your hair down. My coils are tighter than I thought they would be (which explains the detangling nightmares towards the end of my transition) but it makes for easy wash & go's.

Hair type: Prettyful, lol. But seriously, from the looks of it 3c/4a/with maybe a silky-thready combo texture

I would have said 3c. I still get quite confused with what 4a actually is. Some 4as seem to have hair very close to 4b and some just look curly to me....:ohwell: Either way you have a pretty head of hair :yep:

Here's a couple of pictures of that unmanipulated section completely dry. The layers above this are looser, but the rest of my hair is a mix of this and the looser curls (with a coarser version of these curls at the crown) so I am using this as a jump-off point. I figured if I knew what my tighter curls were, I could guess what the looser ones were.

Awww... thanks
I feel as though there are sooo many gorgeous heads of hair on the board, so that's an honor.

You appear to have very deep waves, If that is all your new growth I think you are 3c. There was a really interesting thread about the difference between 3c and 4a recently :)
