Hello lovely ladies out there! I finally decided to become apart of this wonderful forum. I have been at war with my hair for some time and now it is finally trying to grow.

As of right now, my last relaxer was 5/14/10, the day before graduation! I intend to stretch for at least six/seven months from that and I think it is going very well. I use no heat, co-wash, and braid out every other day. I'm currently waiting on my Mega-tek to come in the mail, if they would hurry their behinds up :nono:. My goal for the end of this stretch is at least SL.

Does it sound like I'm on the right track? I know we got some pros out there and all advice is greatly appreciated! :yep: (Once my Mega-tek comes in, I try to update the progress.)

Welcome Dr. Muffin!!!
Your plan sounds sensible just stick with it.
What is your current length? From you siggy looks like you're already SL.

Yeah I totally forgot to mention my current length...oopsie!

Right now I'm at long neck length. In the pic the way I'm sitting is kinda slumped over, so my head is lowered and my hair looks longer than what it is. :perplexed If I sat up straight, then you'd be able to tell that my hair stops right at the base of my neck.

And thanks everyone for the welcomes! Keep 'em coming!

:hiya:Welcome. This is the best place to win a "hair war":swordfigh:bud:. I suggest taking a starting picture from the back. Write down the regimen you are using this way you can make changes and know what works and what doesn't work. Be flexable, but not a banwagon rider. Search old threads before buying new products.

...and another welcome! I have nothing substantive to add, just wishing you well in meeting your goals.

Welcome to the forum. You are on the right path to healthy hair. My advice is to not get discouraged if your hair does not make a goal that you have set out, just be happy that your hair is healthy.

Thanks! yeah...I know I need a back shot. The only ones I have are really old and don't represent my current length (it was way shorter back then!) I could straighten my hair and take a pic (cuz I wear my hair in braid-outs), but I don't wanna break my no-heat stetch! I'll see if I can bring up the old pics or break my no-heat rule (once!) for the pic a little later.

I definitely have been doing my research for the past few months, and found some really good results from other people with co-washing, mega-tek, etc. So right now I'm definitely in trial-and-error mode.

:hiya:Welcome! It looks like you're already ahead of the game, and as long as you stick to your plans you should have no problem reaching your goal.
