Hello Ladies, So I just go through with my first week of work at my new job and I want to treat myself (why is it that I always find reasons to "treat myself"??) But anyway I was wondering if you ladies have any suggestions on what I should get.....??

I'm having some real issues right now with breakage and shedding so I definitly need to buy something for that...anything else will be extras....So what are you ladies using right now that I should try...??

I would like to buy the whole mega-tek line but my apartment is not ready and I don't feel right having horse products shipped to the Hilton, lol!!!

Suggestions will be greatly appreciated...I can only buy stuff that can be found at Sallys, I'm in country a$$ Abilene, TX and I don't think they have anything other than that......TIA

You can try the Motions CPR products. They are protein based and might help you with your breakage. You can also try Sallys ION line. It isn't bad and you can get sample sized packets of some of their items for less than 2 bucks a piece.

The silk elements line is a good line. Many people like their treatments and conditioners.

I am going to Sallys today myself. I am going to get some Proclaim tea tree shampoo.

If you get want to get something from both lines, I would get the motions cpr conditioner; they have two, one comes in a bottle and one comes in a jar. Most people here use the jar one, I think is stronger but Pokahontas here likes the bottle one. I remember her talking about it so either way, you should be good. In aphogee, the two step treatment is the big guns and the 2 minute reconstructor is good to have around. Both come in packets as well as bottles.

For moisture....I don't use too many moisture products from Sallys but alot of people have used the proclaim moisturizing conditioner with success. Silk elemsnts now has an olive oil line as well and there is a moisturizing conditioner and deep treatment for both silk elements lines. You can try Loreal Unfrizz with is good. I used to use that alot. You can also try the silk elements cholesterol, I like that and you can use it for prepooing too if it turns out not to be your favorite thing. Its like 4.60 if I remember correctly.

I don't know much about the shampoo offerings. The one I am going to get today I know for a fact has SLS. In general though, they should still have big bottles of the old creme of nature formula which is SLS free. You can also look into the Elasta qp shampoos. They use more gentle sulfates, are pH balanced, and are cheap, like 2 bucks.

Hey! If you havent left yet
I was going to recomned some aphgee for the breakage too they have:

Aphogee 2 min Keratin Conditoner--is a nice med/light protien treatment
Aphogee 6 Week Treatment- Once every 6 weeks, stops breakge asap
Apogee keratin spray--Use it before blowdrying or something or maybe as a leavin, its okay

The balancing moistruizer that is supposed to go with the aphogee 6 week treatment is not all that IMO

They have some nice Vitamins (aphogee)

For the moisturizing shampoo w/o SLS maybe you can try Elasta QP's (I think its creme conditoning shampoo)

My favorite moisturizing conditoner there is Organic Root Stimulator Replenish

Also you might want to try Roux Porosity conditoner, alot of people like it, works great for dry hair

Bypass Sally's and go to a drug store and buy Nexxus Emergencee and a bottle of cheap conditioner... but if you must go to Sally's ... Jilbere Shower comb, applicator bottle, and applicator brush... those 3 things have been invaluable for me and probably all under $5 put together.

Silk Elements Cholesterol, Silk Elements Olive Oil Mega Silk conditioner, Silk Elements Luxury Moisturizing Conditioner, Loreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture, Aphogee poo, Elasta QP Creme Conditioning poo, Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 Miracle Worker, ORS Pak, Silken Child serum and moisturizer, Ion Silk Drops.... That's all I can think of right now :D

I just left Sallys....
I say get the Aphogee 2 min, but if its acting a donkey you may be need to get the 2 step. I like the Aphogee line 2 mins smells tasty.

Aphogee 2 Min Reconstructor
Elasta QP Mango Butter
Elasta QP Oil Recovery Moisturizer
Silk Elements Silken Child creme moisturizer
Motions CPR Silk Protein
Motions CPR Shampoo

Motions CPR- I like it.

Hask Henna Placenta Conditioner-I love it.

Silk Elements Moisturizing Treatment- I lovvveeee it...and it smells great

Boot Leg Nexxus Aloe Rid-This stuff is great...I'm about to wash my hair now!

Sorry, this was funny to me! :lachen:

Anyway, I'm not a Sally's fiend, but my favorite product there is IC Leave In Conditioner, it's liquid in a brown bottle. That stuff is like liquid gold! :yep::lick:

Wow that is funny that you mentioned the IC stuff.... I used to use their
products. When I was in sally's I looked at it and kept going, should have picked some up...maybe next time.

BTW, I have read in your other post that you only relax every 3 or 4 months are you still on this regimen?? and how is it working for you?? Obviously its working well because your hair is gorgeous...

For the extra I recommend:

Hair One(Olive Oil formula)-----This product makes hair feel great. It has a cooling sensation in it to soothe and cool your scalp.

Is this a shampoo or conditioner? I'm looking for a shampoo that does the bolded. It's the only way I know my hair & scalp is clean :ohwell:
