I did this the other day....i hadn't done it in a loooong time...since i was APL/BSL.....and it drove me INSANE!!...lol!! My lean-back length is TAILBONE!!!

I remember when it barely reach waist!!:infatuated:"awwww....."

What a cute thread. I needed this because I am discouraged today about my progress.

This month will be the start of my FOURTH year. This should be the year I reach my goal...but my hair from ear-length down is thinner with broken pony tail area.

NO MATTER WHAT I DO MY HAIR "FEELS" SHOULDER LENGTH, even though the longest layer in the back is past APL

What do I do? Somehow I don't feel that trimming is the answer. PSing? I HAVE to reach solid BSL this year.

If you're at APL....BSL is just around the corner!!:yep:

What got me from APL to BSL wasn't really bunning per se...but just keeping my ends off my shirt....so i would just clip it up.

What's you regimen??

LOL!
It's too hot over here to let my hair down right now, but it's got to be around Classic Length.

*Lean Back, Lean Back, Lean Back* Okay just had to say it. LOL

I'm not sure I'm in braids right now. But probably APL or BSL.

HAYYY!!!!...that song is playing in my head right now!

If I flatiron and lean back it's bsl, when I just lean back with it in it's shrunken state it's SL. :ohwell:

My Regi:

1 - Wash 1x/ week with sulfate free shampoo OR diluted shampoo OR homemade shampoo (castille/EVOO/water)

- DC with UBH Deep Conditioner to rescue hair when I've been 'bad' or Aphogee 2 minute or Silk Elements Megasilk Moisturizing Conditioner to maintain UNDER MY BELOVED STEAMER.....YEA! (hooded dryer is collecting dust)

- Airdry then PS (stopped Roller Sets...too much manipulation)

2- cowash 2x/week with VO5 or HE LTR or Kendra Moisturizing Conditioner

3 - UBH Lotion Creme Moisturizer 2x/day on ends

4 - Seal with Soft and Beautiful Botanicals Oil; lately Castor Oil too, I've gotta make BSL!

5 - EVCO melted and warm massaged into the crown of my scalp and the scalp of the breakage areas in the back.

6 - Flat iron once per month or never on very low setting, one pass quickly through hair just to tame.

Anything else regarding trimming:

I have the Split Ender, CreaClip and use the twist technique to dust as needed.

any other suggestions?

I just feel that if I keep trimming I will never see my hair's true potential.

Right now between hip + tailbone.

After I wash it this evening (shrinKAGE) :afro: , probably only BSL

I'm waist length when my hair is straighten and I lean back. When I first saw this thread I laugh because I secretly use to do this all time in the beginning of my hair journey.
