This is just terrible. I didn't know her hair line was this bad. What do yall think that could be from? Too many wigs? lace fronts?

I hate to see black women with jacked up hair cause other races just think thats why she wears fake hair. Not to change up the style, not to make the hair thicker, its cause she has no hair. So when some sista does have her hair out and its healthy everyone thinks its a weave.

Lesson: People who rock wigs/weaves do not neglect your real hair.

Well I think it come from her not giving a rat's a$$ about her hair. She probably rips her glued down lace front wigs off and only washes her hair when she's not too busy being a mean gal. Outside of that- Nothing. No moisture, no conditioning. Nothing.

There is NO escuse. She is a freakin millionaire for crying out loud!

The sad part is there are soooo many people in her boat right now! I went to my mom's 37 year old friend's house to pick up some items.. Her friend did not have on her normal "hair help" aka-- wigs and weaves.. and I could have had a da'mn heart attack :eek2:. I had no idea she was workin with practically nothing but a few plugs. I asked her if she had any health conditions and she said no-- that she does not have time to care about her hair. No escuse!!

So many ladies are soo excited (and serious) about the way their fake hair look that they don't pay 1 ounce of attention to the real hair growing out of their scalps :nono:

Wow, this is sad:nono:, but it didn't happen overnight. She should've stopped with the weaves when she first noticed the effects it was having on her hair.(I did) Instead of ignoring it or coverng it up, she should've babied her own hair....she really has no excuse, I mean she has had the money and resources for the best care. Sorry if I sound harsh, but it's hard for me to feel sorry for her especially after knowing what type of personality she has. This goes to show, what they say is really true....beauty is only skin deep. Maybe if she was a nicer person I would have more empathy towards the situation.

Naomi just definitively proved to me that healthy hair is not about money, expensive products or hiring the "best" people to care for your hair; but its about acquiring and applying the knowledge & techniques needed for each individual to empower themselves to achieve healthy hair.

OMG!!!!! Good googly woogly!!!! I think Brandy Norwoods edges are almost as bad as Naomi's. Not to be rude, but I don't really feel sorry for her. My edges were very, very thin from wearing tight micros and kinky twists. When I noticed the problem, I STOPPED WEARING TIGHT BRAIDS. Duhhhh.... I'm not rich, but I have common sense. I tried a few hair growth aids on my edges here and there, and none of them seemed to do anything. Finally I left my edges alone and they grew back! You can't tell they were ever thin! I bet if we pulled a lot of the entertainers' weaves back, we would see the same thing.

This may have been mentioned, and please don't flame me, but IN THIS INSTANCE, I can't feel bad for this woman. She treats people abominably.

I feel so sorry for her

Its all over the press in the UK.

Oprah's stylist should give campbell a call.

I think Naomi could wear a shorter style. Her face suits all hair styles.

I felt really upset when I saw this picture. Weaves and extensions work for women when they look after their hair from the inside out. This is probably a combination of hair stylist errors, stress, lack of hair education and terrible hair habits.

Should naomi start all over again or can she grow her hair from it's current state?

Surely someone in her camp knows how to grow healthy hair

:-(

I'm a person that doesn't like to wear weave, braids or any false hair.......this re enforces why me nah put dat ting in a me head.

Co-sign. I love my weaves something serious but if you don't know how to use it and don't know what the hell you doing, this is exactly what happens... Its crazy. My guess is she never took care of the hair under the weaves, braids were too tight, and she never gave her hair a break.... at all

Don't get me wrong i have tried
a weave once - took it out after 1 week, too hot and itchy
Braids - took it out after 2 weeks, too heavy, rough hair kept beating me in the face, scalp itched.
Cornrows with extensions - took out after 1 day, hated the look on me.
Half wig's - too damn lazy to blend my transitioning hair with the wig and they are too hot.

They all felt like my hair was being pulled from the root and the braider was not doing it tightly.

You are right you gotta know your stuff if you wear weaves and the like.

Shoot I don't know why you all are feeling sorry for her.

Let's face it, the second she feels like doing something about this she'll take the millions she made from making it weRK and go someplace where they'll implant new follicles or stimulate the old ones right out of slumber.

These days technology is crazy and they're learning how to perform new procedures everyday.

Feel bad for the women with a hairline like that only pulling down 20, 000 a year, lol, because they are the ones who are stuck.

My thoughts exactly! Why y'all feeling sorry for her? She's Naomi Campbell!!!!

With all the money she has, She can get a hair transplant to make her hair look any way she wants it to look.:yep:

With money, she still has options.:yep:

That is heartbreaking. No wonder she's so mean.
I guess it's safe to say that she will wear weaves/wigs for the rest of her life, there's no going back now.

LOL, i guess your scalp just looked at you like ":rolleyes:aah, aah, we aint havin that"

I'd think this would be from YEARS of abuse, not just one weave? Right? I hope. Maybe she is one of those women who really does not care about the hair underneath her weave. There are plenty of sisters who only care about how the weave looks.

I dunno... I know someone whose head looked very similar to that after 2 weaves left in for about 3 months total. :look: It's been well over a year and I don't know if it has grown back. But from the "sneak peek" I saw a few weeks ago, it's not looking too good.

Scary stuff, I don't fool with glue and tracks, I'm even scared of braids now.

Sadly I see women in my area whose edges look exactly like that. Non-existent due to years of tight braids/bad weaves.

Naomi's hairline has been receding for years. Surely as soon as the problem starts your would want to rectify it, not make it worse. I guess as a model her hair has to be versitile and all the heat and extensions has taken its toll. I remember years ago when she used to have a centre parting, it just seem to get wider and wider.:nono:

She should shave it off and keep it shaved for a long time and just wear great wigs, let her scalp and hair follicles rest!!!!!

It got worse! That makes no sense.

My hair is in 100% better condition and all I use is basically cheapo lustrasilk.

She has the money and every opportunity to do a turn around.

Dang. :nono:

Girl....$2. that stuff KEEPS my hair moisturized.

For some reason I think her hair problems are just because of weaves and wigs. People wear them all the time the the hair is not like that.

hmmm. seems like more to it.

Sadly, I even have a friend who is a doctor (yes a medical doctor) who has been wearing her weaves too tight for at least 5 years now and her hairline is not too far off from Ms Naomi's.

I remember telling her a few years ago to take a between the weaves, baby the hair underneath (especially the edges) and the have her stylist to not braid the weft so tight....but I was ignored :ohwell:. She is now scrambling to find another style to both cover the damaged scalp and not lose any more hair.

There really is no excuse. Naomi could pay to have someone massage her hairline everyday with castor oil if she can't be bothered to do it herself.

I was gonna suggest the same thing....doesn't she know about castor oil?!?!?

I wore glued in weaves for WAY too long, and as a result, my side edges are thin (but not NEARLY as thin as hers lol). Thank God for LCHF, where I learned about castor oil...my edges are now growing back in nicely!

Somebody send Naomi a twitter tweet please.....:lachen:

A full wig would have hidden that disaster:nono: She knows that she makes the news no matter what!

I'd be mortified if it were me!
