Using my dome dryer to DC. It surprised me because it's never happened before. Of course, the first time it does would be the one time I DC at night:rolleyes:. My dad fixed it easy though. I guess it serves me right for waiting until 10:30 to DC. My dad probably thinks I'm strange now.

On the plus side, DC worked a treat. My ends weren't snapping off in my fingers when I wrung my hair out and I got very little breakage/shedding while detangling.

That happen to me before... only it was in a dorm.. and it was only in my room and it took hours for the guy to just come and flip the switch. Part of the reason I use a Heating conditioning cap now :perplexed

Happened to me 3 weeks ago. I'm so scared to use it again now. I might look into the heating conditioning caps.

Used to happen to me...get a surge protector and make sure that when you use your hair dryer, you unplug appliances that are not in use and/or take up a lot of energy. For example, it's impossible for me to have a portable fan or heater running at the same time as my dryer.

lol I rmemeber those days. I would have the blowdryer, computer, tv, all running at the same time. Plus I had all this other crap plugged into the walls. I dont think I blew it, but the lights would flicker:nono:

Happened to me too. luckily I was an RA. I accidently knocked EVERYONE'S power off tryna get mine back on, but everyone was back to normal in 5 minutes :giggle:. I'm so selfish lol. But mine wen tout cuz I had the heater on and the dryer on at the same time.

LOL haven't had the issue in my apt now, but in my old one in the winter if I forgot to turn off my heating fan before I started diffusing, and when I lived at home I was the QUEEN of blowing out power lol
