I just finished making a batch of peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.
Have fun op. Your idea isn't really that bad. People have tried worse stuff on their heads. I say more power too you and let us know how it works out.
I posted this clip a while ago, but there was an actual movie called "The Peanut Butter Solution" about this kid whose hair grew from putting peanut butter on his head

Why go through all the peanut butter trouble? Just go to CVS, get a protein treatment and call it a day.
The THINGS that we, black women, will do for longer, stronger hair! THE THINGS?!
Peanut will be hard to wash out and Not to mention the ANTS and flies that will be fighting for territory in your sticky, sweet head. Good LUCK with that there!![]()
3/4 of black women are OBSSESSED with having hair so long that they can be mistaken for being anything but black!!![]()

i'd have to give it a thumbs up!i rinsed this am, my hair felt strong, but soft. feelingwise, i would compare it to how my hair feels after henna, stronger -- but much, much softer. i'd guess it's from the fat/butter & the oil. i found this old thread on peanut oil (aka groundnut oil) which had some good info:

There are many oils that are good for the hair (olive, jojoba, coconut, aloe vera, safflower, etc.); however, the best of all is peanut oil.
Peanut oil is proven to have affinity with keratin (the main protein found in the hair shaft).
The best oil that I know of, is called Essential Oil made by Keracare. Essential Oil has a very rich blend of all of the most precious oils that are good for hair.

it should go w/o saying, but if you have peanut allergies this probably is not the best choice for you.
also, i don't think using straight up peanut butter would be beneficial to your hair, lol -- at least comb out/rinse out wise -- but mixed into your conditioner, i can definitely see some benefits. i don't know if i'd do this often enough to be in a challenge, or have it become a staple, but it is nice to know you have options, & to try something new.
