Oohhhh, I'm looking for this texture of hair for some crochet braids, that I will "attempt" this weekend. Do you know if this type of hair is only used for sew-ins?

I found something similar that I thought about using for crochet braids.

Freetres Bohemian Braid, I like this one.

ETA: If I were doing crochets I would use the Bohemian braid hair. I like that texture the best.

Okay ya'll I got blackhairspray to change my color to a 1b. I'm gonna take a few strands, add henna and see how it turns out. I need it to match my hair. I will take pics when I do install.

I just placed an order for 12" 1b yesterday!! I've been eyeballing this hair for ages.. and my hair defininately needs to be hidden f0r awhile.. im excited this should be the official bobraz thread of LHCF!! I read the thread over at bhm (iLurk bec they aren't always nice 2 new ppl) its 220+ pages.. so this is what I learned:

*1pack is usually enough unless you want rediculously HUGE hair..

*if you split the wefts (iwill) SEAL SEAL SEAL!! Dritz/Fray block works well.. which it some kind of fabric "glue" or somethin L0L

*Cantu shea butter leave it works wonderfully if you choose to wear it curly

*it can be texturized

*it can be successfully worn straight (I will probably have mine straight for abt 3 weeks before wearing it curly)

iM Excited =) HTH

Blizzard - would you consider getting a 2 and coloring it to match your hair? Also, wat is their return policy? Is it possible for you to get the hair with the discount now and return it for the right color later?

I thought about that along with asking for the longer length 1B (for no extra cost) but just decided against it because I wanted to try Halley's Curls too. But, I will probably look for bobraz again before the summer is out. :-)

Glamazon... Can you point us in the direction to pics of your install? PRETTY PLZ :)

There are pictures throughout my fotki. I've installed it numerous times over the past few years. My last install was in Aug 2009 and I removed it in Nov 2009.

Just got a call from Black hairspray ... they are out of stock 1B 12" so I cancelled the order :-(

I got that call yesterday. I was disappointed because the colors run light. The 1b looks more like a 2. I really want the hair, so I decided I was going to just color it a dark brown. Then do a henna on it to match my hair since it a lot redder now. I am going to try that on a few pieces of hair first and see how it looks before doing the whole package.

I'll have to buy this from the BSS. I wanted to order it but I'll only be home for the weekend. If I order it online, there's a possibility that I'll probably be back on the road by the time it's delivered. I really hope I can find this hair.

Subscribing...

I got this hair yesterday and they didn't have 1B but thanks to this thread I knew that the colors ran lighter so I got #1. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

I g0t my bobraz ladies =)
its a 2 th0 s0 I have t0 dye it to match.. any tips on how to dye it "& which one to use.. im trynna get it 1B-ish.. TiA

Hey, yes I did get 1 and I liked it- will have to post pics but I just got a 1b and I like it much better. I will have to post pics for you all to see the difference.

I also feel that there are different types of bobraz around. I got the 1b from superhairfactory and it is so different- much softer curl vs a wave. This looks so much more natural on me.

Has anyone tried to straighten this hair? (I would love to see some pictures) I just ordered some and will be getting it installed for my B-day in July (planning ahead), but I want to wear it straight most of the time.

Bohyme Natural Wave can be used for braids since it is bulk hair. Brazilian Wave only comes on the weft. You can always get it and cut it off.

It straightens (click here for post with pics/specs), but I have often heard that if you straighten it from curly, it is a lot of work and doesn't curl up as much when you wash it again. It comes kinky straight-ish in the pack, so if that's what you really want to do, I would straighten it from that point instead of washing it first. Actually, since you want to wear it straight most of the time, I would highly recommend a kinky straight instead -- less work.

I have this hair at home and I want to get a full head install with a part. Is there anywhere I can get a clouser to match this texture? I got the hair in color 4 which is a med. brown. TIA

Just wanted to check with the ladies whom recently bought this hair that 1 pack is enough. I just read something on BHM where some of the ladies said 1 pack was not enough, however said members suspect they may have got a fake batch.

One pack was definitely enough!! We actually had a little left over!! I really does SWELL!

Some of the Halley's Curls closures work. A few ladies on BHM have found closures.

It depends on what length you get. For 12" and 14", one pack seems to be enough....it is only from when you get to 20" or so that 2 packs are definitely needed. Take a look at the pics in that thread to see how thick their install hair is to decide what look you are going for. Keep in mind it gets BIG. Also see if they split their wefts or not. I think I will try not to split them, and if it doesn't work then I will split them. When I get mine installed, I'll come back with pics.

^^^ Thanks lilsparkle, that makes perfect sense now. Clearly Bohyme are selling by weight so the shorter the length the bulkier the hair seems as opposed to the longer lengths where you seemingly get less for your money. I have ordered 1 pack in 14" so hopefully that should do it.

p.s. look forward to pics of the install.

One pack of bobraz is ENOUGH unless you want super long hair. I had the 14". 1 pack had me looking like Diana Ross!

I have 2 packs of 20" inch installed 1 pack is 1b the other is 2 I like a lotta hair but it did get a little big even for me at first till I learned how to tame it. My own hair is I think 3c\4a and curls or waves a little tighter so I use a curl activator gel to help with the blending in the first pic you can kinda see one stubborn curl sticking out on the side. Here are a couple of pics

Sorry- it took me forever to get back with the pics. I watched a lot of youtube vids to learn about full head sew-ins.

Here is my 1st try with the 1, 12 inch:
Braided in circles, closure at the top

With bangs, straightened (didn't like this at all)

My hair at the front didn't want to stay braided so after a few days was able to put a closure at the front and use the stray hairs to cover

With Miss Jessie's silkening cream leave-in

I finally learned to use my Denman on wet hair with smooth n shine serum as a leave-in

Be right back with 1B pics
