I love looking at the hair pictures here at LHCF, so I thought I'd show a few of my pictures today. :yep:

This is my first time doing so many twists. I usually do about 10 and that's it due to time constraints.
Here's the reggie for those who may be interested::
The day before I pre-poo'd my hair with Burt's Bees (2 min) and sat under the heat cap for about 1 hour.
Next I washed with Nourish Hair and conditioned with Burt's Bees regular conditioner....
Left a little extra on my hair (paying special attention to the ends).
Next, I parted my hair in two applied shea butter, and wore two pony-tails until today.
Today I twisted my hair adding more shea butter (paying special attention to the ends).

My goal is to do what I did last year with my twists but with more of them which is to twist on "rasta twist" hair as a style and protection. What do you think?

I feel my ends need special attention, especially because they are so thin. One of my goals is to have healthy ends. Any comments or suggestions? I am 100% natural (since 2003), and only use heat about 3 times a year to measure and trim...although sometimes I trim while in my twists.

TIA

They look nice. My advice on your ends is to continue to dust regularly and to where them in protective styles where they are not left hanging and rubbing on your clothes but are in some sort of updo that hides them.

I'm a fine one to speak suggesting protective styling--since I don't do it myself. But I do believe it's what you need to keep your ends from more wear and tear than is necessary.

I think it looks great and I can't wait for my own twists to be as long as yours. :D I also agree about keeping them up and past the clothes to avoid the friction.

Thanks for the feedback. I do appreciate your advice. :yep:

Oh thank you. What a nice thing to say.:sunshine:
I never really considered my hair long...especially compared to a lot of the women here.
I was just thinking before coming back here a minute ago that I know my hair isn't as nice, long, and thick as others. I've worked so hard with my hair reforming it for about 5 years before any hint of progress at all. So thanks again. :yep:

PS. I rarely wear my hair down. As a matter of fact it's up now in a pony. My hair is mostly in instant weaves, but because the weather is getting hot here, I will be adding the kinky rasta hair twisted on.

You're welcome! I b.c last year and when I have moments of missing my length, I see pictures like yours that show me where I will be if I keep it up. :3

Fantastic job! :) Congrats.

Sorry to covet but I think I might try some smaller twists this weekend.

I really appreciate all of the thanks and support here. I guess I shouldn't under-estimate LHCF. Thank you. :heart2:
