Hey everybody!!! Whats up?

So....i have been saying every year i was thinking about transitioning...well now i'm really giving it SERIOUS thought!!:yep:

Early in my HHJ i said i would love to grow my hair to my desired Waistlength...comfortably where i can trim off an inch or two every month and still be there...and then transition to natural....NO BIG CHOPPING FOR ME!!!:nono::nono:

I am mostly texlaxed right now...so i have this whooooole plan for transitioning....i'm even joining some natural hair care sites to keep me motivated. My first goal is to transition until im WSL unstretched...then chop off any processed ends i have left and let it grow however after that point with regular trims:yep:

I think going natural would be great for me bc...i would love to be able to do wash n go's and not have to worry about when was my last touch up and i think it will give me a new atmosphere about myself and change my whole outlook on life....something new and something different.

I also feel it will help me feel better bc i won't be putting harmful chemicals on my head.

However i'm not gonna start transitioning until early next year...i want to get to full wsl first and THEN start....i think i will blog my whole plan....looks like i pretty much did tho:laugh:

Welcome aboard. You will definitely learn some things not only about your natural hair but about how you handle, deal with and accept your natural hair and all the adventures it will take you through. :yep:

Thanx My Friend!! Yeah...me too!! Its all my sister's fault!! She BC'd last year and her hair is the LONGEST its ever been!! Both of our hair grows pretty fast...i went from APL to past MBL in about less than 2 years...texlaxed/relaxed...whatev ya wan call it:grin:.

And i'm tired of having to spend almost $10 on a harmful chemical every 3 months....thats gas money!! Or i can spend that on shea butter, or coconut oil or some eco-friendly hair product:yep:

Okay so i posted my transitioning plan in my on-site blog....i think when i officially start transitioning, i'm going to start my own blog to help me with my journey...at least i can have my natural beginnings saved :)

BTW does anybody know of anyone who was/is a long-term transitioner? like a year and beyond??

I'm not even sure what my hair type is so i'm not gonna be looking for specific types until i start.

Cool! It will be fun to follow your journey and welcome you to the other side .

Thanx girl!!! And thanx to all the other ladies on here!! I'm gonna need all your support as i remember what my sister went through with our family but i was there and cheered her on the whole way and in a way she inspired me to want to start my journey. I loves a good challenge:lick:

blackbarbie comes to mind.

I've stretched for a year between relaxers ( currently 5 months post relaxer).

Check out the stretchers thread for tips and ideas.

HHJ!

I already did my very first blog post!! Lol!!! Im so excited ya'll!!! I know its gonna be alot of work....but i think its gonna be fun too...especially since my sister is natural and i know TONS of other natural ladies IRL. Naturals on here seem to always have so much fun in their hair journey....and i want to join you all!!

I meant until i'm waistlength stretched!!! Sorry:D

 Girl! I was about to say you may never chop especially if your hair grows outwards.

:lachen::lachen:...i knew somebody probably read that and went....what the heck?!?! in 2-3 years???!! LOL!!!

It didnt hit me til i was posting in my blog and almost typed it wrong there and i was like...i hope i posted that right!! (on here...)

Congratulations..... here's some food for thought: If you transition today you can potentially have 6 inches of new growth next April. You sure you want to wait?

Well see the problem is I have another relaxer kit in my room already so to keep me from being tempted and disappointed I wanted to use that up so i don't have to buy another relaxer.

Congrats on your decision! I've been transitioning for 11 months now and everything is going well. I'll be transitioning for at least another year or two.

Girl, I'll give you $20 if you throw that relaxer in the trash and start your transition now:)
