I hate taking pills, so I tend to faulter after a few months...fall off...and then, I'll pick them back up at some point. Right now, I've been taking them for two months...that's really good for me.

I haven't stopped and my hair is growing verrrrry fast. I've been on a vitamin regimen since August of 09 =)

I never stop because I take supplements anyway for overall health. Without a healthy body nothing is going to happen with your hair. Either way I see vitamins as being essential for outer beauty for that reason.

OP: I LOVE your Teyanna (sp) Taylor goal. She does have amazing hur. LOL!

I have taking vitamins since late 2007 but in the beginning it was for my health b/c I'm anemic & don't really eat healthy. Now I take them for my health & hair

I heard it takes 3ish months to see results. After 6 months of no results I would change something

I have no idea. Been taking a multi religiously since 1993 and I eat basically healthily. So when I joined LHCF in 2003, I jumped on the hair vitamin bandwagon. Got a hair vitamin with biotin and B5 etc, got MSM, and at another time silica... And tried to adopt a lot of the LHCF "rules" like making sure I used a leave-in moisturizer without fail.

Not only was it so much like hard work to do all this extra stuff, I didn't really see any difference. I might've purchased the stuff once or twice...but my hair had been growing nicely without all the fuss so I obviously wasn't lacking in the nutrient department before the bandwagon. Besides, your body can only absorb so much, so I was probably eliminating all the excess and it was just wasteful. I had been doing well without all the madness so I went back to what was normal to me.

I take chlorella & spirulina. A womens multi, MSM, Kelp, Fish & Flax Oil, Silica, EPO, CO Q10, and collagen with C. It sounds like a lot but I take them before bed and my hair and skin and nails are growing and glowing! =o)

I wouldn't stop even if it didn't help my hair, but I think it does. It is very hard to get all the vitamins and nutrients your body needs from just food. Anyone know of a vitamin in liquid form. Sometimes I do get tired of taking pills.

Goodness. With all of that, I wouldn't expect your hair, skin, and nails not to grow! But I must ask, what do you think you are getting the most benefit from (as far as hair growth is concerned)? I'm really looking into taking a vitamin for hair growth, but I don't know which one!

I was taking h.s.n multivitamins for a year before I decided to stop. My hair grows the same rate w/ or w/o them (about 6 inches a year).

 I think the most benefit is coming from the womens multi, collagen with c, biotin (which i forgot to put in the original post), and silica. The rest I take for other reasons (my thyroid issues). I also absolutely think chlorella and spirulina have a lot to do with it.... I'm conducting an experiment this month and cut out my superfoods (chlorella and spirulina) and I'm only taking vitamins. I'm checking to see if I can maintain my same rate of growth this way.
