I use this and it definitely works better than Elasta QP Glaze. The only other product that I have found that I like equally well is Keracare Edge Tamer. Its been 18 months since my last relaxer so they both are great for new growth.

I've just ordered some off ebay. I couldn't find it anywhere online and there's only one seller on ebay who has it.

The ingredients in the ORS Edge Control are similar to Hicks but ORS has a few more.
I watched the YT video and the Hicks kind of looks like the Edge Control.
I can't wait for ORS to release it as I am sure it will not be as exspensive as the Hicks.

I seriously hope I can find this at my local BSS...I dont wanna order online:ohwell: if this works for my 4b/c edges I will definitely let yall know. I'm really hoping I can get this at my local BSS.

So I was in chicago this weekend, and i stopped by a bss and picked up one of these to try it...
I have braids in,but my edges are wild from co-washing constantly.(I tried to slow up on them, but my hair needs the moisture).
Anyhoo,i applied a little bit(really, just a little) to my naked edges(no product on them but leave-in),and tied my scarf over them.I took it off about an half an hour later and my edges were LAID!!!!

They stayed that way for about 4 more hours, and then i stopped paying attention because we got back on the road and were driving all night. When i woke up the next morning, they were fuzzy again though.

The thing that got me though, was that even though the product felt like gel going on,my hair was very silky soft after taking my scarf off,and it stayed like that too.
I like to try a product a few times before reviewing it,but I liked my results so much that I went back before I left and got another one:yep:
I will post pics when i take my braids down.

So OP does the hold wear off or last all day for you? I really want this product but I want to make sure that it's worth the moola.

I've had this for about a week and it works quite well. Here's what I've noticed so far...

1. It does not work on wet hair. Has to be applied to dry hair.
2. Hair should be as clean as possible, but it will work over my leave-in/detangler (dried).
3. It does not work well overnight. Best results were achieved when I applied it and tied down with a scarf up to 30min - 1 hour before leaving the house.
4. A light application only lasts a few hours for me. A medium application will last about 12 hours.
5. No matter how much I apply, it will not last through a work out. I'm a heavy sweater.
6. I've experienced no buildup, but I do co-wash every few days after I work out.
7. It does give you a soft smooth finish, like a fresh relaxer. It doesn't look or feel greasy or hard - if you don't use too much and on clean hair.

All in all, this is by far the BEST product I've used for keeping my edges in check. Since I sweat a lot though, I have doubts that it will work as well in the summertime humidity.

I have been using Hicks off and on for several months and I really like it. My hair is 4a natural and when I use it my edges look like I am relaxed, smooth but not hard shiny"plastic" looking. It does build up and if I do not excercise it lasts more than one day for me , but then again my hair is fine. If I DO exercise, I tie my edges down with a scarf for about 20 minutes and that helps to get the hold back. When I purchased it I just ordered it from their site.

I almost want to try it, but the multiple reviews I've seen on it's lasting power wearing off has me on "hold" right now...

looks alright in the vids bmp posted, has anyone tried Vonte for edges, model Chanel Iman is always co-signing it

wonder what the ingredients are in hicks products, my mizani gel give me this slickness 2 though and alcohol free.

Wow, I'd love to finally know what its like to have a puff with those wavy slicked edges:love2:....my puffs are awesome as is but that would be great to experience!:yep:

I have used this product before and after reading the post I must say for my 4a/b type hair it doesn't last long. May be half a day. (I was relaxed bone straight) I did like this product because of its texture, shine the way it slicked and shine my hair with out a hard crunchy stiffness. I have finished the bottle and may repurchase but am in no rush. ATL ladies you can find it at Denderas at the west end mall.
