I have been using Hicks off and on for several months and I really like it. My hair is 4a natural and when I use it my edges look like I am relaxed, smooth but not hard shiny"plastic" looking. It does build up and if I do not excercise it lasts more than one day for me , but then again my hair is fine. If I DO exercise, I tie my edges down with a scarf for about 20 minutes and that helps to get the hold back. When I purchased it I just ordered it from their site.
Lemme know how it goes my texture twin! Pix too plz!picked up a jar.![]()

thanks so much again lady beersch for the pics. It looks really good. Is that the same hold since last night? If so it did a good job
I saw this before. I e-mailed the company for ingredients, and never got a reply back.
I have this and it does nothing for my edges. It looks good for 5 minutes then it's like I never put it there.
I was just reading some of the comments below the video and it looks like one of the ingredients is a big no no... Here is what the comment said:
Niayola
I'm glade u like the product but FYI: DMDM ingredient u mention Causes dermatitis (Which is inflammation of the skin). Acts as a preservative and may release formaldehyde(the chemical they use on dead bodies) and is a suspected carcinogen (cancer). Rats develop cancer when injected with this chemical. Just in case u didn't know
I would look into that before purchasing this product. I've never heard of this before but it's worth researching before putting this in your hair. Her results are nice but not worth it if that comment is true.
/\ Thanks for the links! I'm hoping I can find this at one of my local BSS....I'll do a happy dance when I finally locate it...maybe I should just call around and see if I can hasten my search that way:scratchch
your welcomeThat sounds good or even see if an actual stylist or salon carries it. I honestly didnt know anything about the proudct until she used it on me today and immediately I was sold. I was concerned about maintaining my edges and not stressing them w/heat....this does the trick
I recall seeing it at a hairshow but dismissed itIll know next time because Im sure its really cheap...so its on my list for the Aug ATL show.
